I'm kind of stretching it here but I'd rather have the final vision of what the M35E3 would have been. The 5.9 was a fine engine and with the various models they made for testing I bet they could have put all that data to good use to make a fine reinvention of the deuce and a half.

Having installed both gear sets on trucks (and the likely source of the 2.87's mentioned) I can provide some insight... you can't go wrong either way. The loss on the low end power isn't noticeable and provides many perks: better MPG, lower cruising engine RPM, less fan kicking in, and less wear...

You'll do fine. I always have that feeling too when starting the brown and black. Just make sure to start with the brown and eye areas that it can be overlapped by the black in case of any over spray. Color theory and working smart at its best. You can always add but not take away... general...

The dye in DOT 5 breaks down with age from purple to golden yellow. This helps tell you the age of the fluid but not the condition. If the bottle has been stored in a cool dry place I'm sure it's fine. If it was sealed air tight then you're "golden" pun intended. It doesn't absorb water like DOT...

I appreciate it but I'll just have this one reworked. I spent the coin for a nice unit until Fedex dinged it up so it has to go in anyway.

Length from the flange to the elbow looks the same but mine has a bend it it compared to yours. The angle of the mount is different and the muffler pipe length to the flange must be different. You can see in the photos the bolt holes on the mounts are different as well (one is high and one low)...

Would someone post photos of their deep water exhaust setup, mount, and bolts. I was lucky/unlucky enough to get a NOS exhaust pipe but it doesn't mate up to my M1123. The part number comes up at M1097A1 but doesn't fit right. Did they change the exhaust for the "A2" generation? Bracket and...

They're fairly easy to install but if you go into deep mud they will retain it. I think they look neat and protect the hoses from branches and stuff.
