The 3rd set I can make out the "E" clearly but the second letter is gone. Checking all other labels the only "E" is in "EL" so that must be it.
This truck is deceiving plain to the eye...and that's exactly as intended. It was regeared with the 3.07 gears, drive line balanced, and with the C7 CAT rerated for 350 HP it flies down the road. Everything below the frame was pulled, cleaned, and rebuilt. During the test drive I hit 78 mph...
All labels were generously made by my paint guy on his own initiative but need to be verified as accurate (he wrote the colors on the back of each label). I've made the 686 Tan, 383 Green, 383 Brown, and Black from the saved profiles in the system and are verified good. Forest Green, Dark Green...
From what I've read zinc plated stainless hardware is the best you can get to fill in the holes without going all out on aluminum hardware or major body work. Since moisture needs to be present for any reaction between steel and aluminum the zinc is a barrier. For the larger holes I'm debating...

Troop seats installed and secured. Filled in a few holes from the previous armor package. The temp gauge is working intermittently so that's on the to-do list.
Almost done with all major PMCS from glow plugs to hoses. Did some shake down runs these past few days to work the kinks out and set up the troop seats in the bed. There's a whirling sound when I left off the throttle that is new to me but everything seems fine. Hmm..
I have this LDS-465-1A engine/trans combo that I can bring with if anyone is interested ($500) - see classifieds. I'm bringing down various other large parts of members already.
Thank you. I do dream of concrete floors but the dirt is softer to roll on haha! ..but seriously if one times the weather right painting outside is fantastic.
