It's an addiction I tell ya...

He would appreciate you rescuing his project if he was here to do so. It is a disease, but we all have a precurser of it, before the Green Iron disease hits. IT is just passed on as we get older. Fortunately, there are people like you, who want to keep a project alive & not let it go to the...

    White Hercules multifuel ...need advice

I have the same engine in my truck & it seeps oil @ the same places yours does. All the hoses, tubing, holes in the firewall are present too. That the way things are made on a military truck, for a purpose, not for comfort or aesthetics. Keep looking in the cab & you will find lots of holes that...

    .

I work with an engineer that, years ago, worked in the plant in Louisania, that manufactured the MICLIC actual charge system. Having him explain how they got the local workers to build these is amazing. The different stages of manufacture & the protection systems to prevent accidental explosions...

Sorry, lately...it seems I miss my meaning until what I have said is pointed out. I'll read more & post less until it is figured out! ;-)

    Value of an M35A2

As a johnny come lately owner, I feel I was lucky to get a decent truck before all the doors were slammed shut. No, I didn't pay $2K or $3K like they used to do; but it is a keeper & in really good shape for its age. This latest situation of sales eliminates me from getting a FMTV or an LMTV in...

16% Buyers Premium PLUS a $25 fee, PLUS!

I will pass on any auction that includes a 16% premium, plus a $25.00 handling fee. Their loss of truck sales is not my fault, so look somewhere else for your GL monies. It figures, everytime I find something good to add to the hobby; the govnt changes the rules to where it is impossible to even do!

How do you secure your Deuce ?

My truck stays behind locked gates @ work & @ home. The chain lock is always on the wheel @ home to make sure. At some point, locking door handles & a battery locking switch will be installed when the weather cools down & I quit working the auctions so hard! Work has 24-7-365 security guards as...

Fuel filter Tec tip of the day.

When I changed the filters, the gaskets that came with the filters did not work on the secondary & final filter as the gaskets were too thick. They would not fit in the groove, so I used the old ones till the next change out. No leaks as of yet!

Fuel filter Tec tip of the day.

When I chatted with him last, he was running the 333512 in the secondary & the 33540 in the final filter only!

    Bleeding a Deuce Fuel System

Sometimes, even with everything working right; they still need a little extra something to get it all running again. I now have a spare Parker intank fuel pump, in case the original dies; not to mention a spare set of filters for the next change over! If I get a hankering to play in the fuel...

    govliq?

Some sites refuse towing off their grounds for liability reasons, I don't buy from them due to my recovery limitations.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I started removing the troop seats wood, belt sanding off the old finish & unsound wood & recoating with several coats of OD green enamel paint I had. Getting the old nuts off the bolts is really the hard part, the rest is just sand & paint time.

    1987 M35A2C Fuel Filters Change

Thanks for insight. Hopefully, the next filter change will be less problematic than the last one was. Knowledge gained form each job helps along the way! If I am not mistaken, some of the MV trucks are fitted with an ether canister that injects a small premeasured burst into the engine during...

Good looking truck with great plans laid out for her in times of emergency & other fun stuff! 22 feet, that is almost a tree house or a short tower!

Going to pick up my new to me m35A2 tomorrow

If they don't leak, their fluids have been drained. Congratulations on your new truck, your engine looks too clean for some reason. The exterior paint job is very unique, never seen one like that, but it looks good! Get some earplugs & keep them in the truck! Now go enjoy your truck!

    M923A2 unknown wire behind dash

This why they put that cap inline with the wire. It is a signal to the owner or mechanic, that nothing is missing, just an extra wire for an accessory that has not been installed.
