Just added pictures, I'll get the parka and snow shoes back on and go get you the measurement!
Good thing it's at the house and not at the barn. The tubing is a reinforcement for the tongue the outer aluminum goes all the way back to the main part of the frame, so it is not something you can...
The only times I have seen a battery posts melt (I did it once) was when the terminal was not tight to the post and the resistance did it. Happen during starting a Duce and did not realize till I got back home. Or by going directly to ground.
A Yukon is a little small for a 203 they were made for the arctic, squad and GP small. A old school M1941 stove or the new and improved H-45 would be a better choice. Check the classifieds here for tent stove as there is a smokin deal on the H-45 stove.
Madmedic you are my hero, I have been trying to get a copy of those for years. My former Sea Bee TFK came only with the German manuals and trying to translate technical German to English made no sense, when it came to filling the water jacket on the front 150 liter pressure cookers. Being a...
The reason being that the CCKW, US6, 1 1/2T Dodge and Chevy do not have them. Don't know about the other WWII trucks as I have not worked on them. This video shows CCKW's being taken out of the crates an assembled in France at around 2:30 starts showing clear pictures of the frames...
Do any of the trucks you have put a wrench to in the last 20 years look anything like they did before they got Sonified ? I personally am glad that they don't, can't wait to see the next project!

The pin idea will not work unless you make a huge steel tray for the shelter to fit in. The shelters are made out of thin aluminum sheet panels with a honeycomb between them and would not take the stress. How about putting one side ways on the cat walk behind the cab. Another idea that I did...
You are in a great place, there are several in Ohio and I am sure some of the buckeye bunch will fill you in on them. It's 12 hour drive for me but I make it out to the Findlay show in May. Ohio, May 16 – 18, 2014: The Findlay Show, 27th Annual Armed Forces Day Celebration at Hancock County...
I know out here nor any state I have lived in you can not get a full tracked civi or MV tagged. They will be more than happy to get personal property taxes from you.
Having spent many hours driving around in various tracks on the Gov"s dime, it's a blast until something breaks or you stick one...
I feel real special now, knowing I got your cherry! Thank you again for that most excellent recovery. It's folks like you that takes time out of their day to get someone to a safe place that makes SS more than just an internet site.
The 150 new not mounted new cabs are sitting in the "processing yard" at Ft Riley between the rail head and RSMS. RSMS were the ones doing resets,(rebuilds) to the M939 series trucks which they are no longer doing. They are now doing 3 axle flat bed trailers. The folks I talked to out there...
