I can't help but agree with this. We get a drop in the bucket here and there and when those dry up the misconception is that it's the end when really it hasn't even begun. Heck, when I was at my local GSA VFD equipment conversion facility they had 30 LMTVs alone waiting to be repurposed into...
395's are a little shorter (1" or 2") but they are wider and heavier with a higher rated speed. Sandcorbra is correct about remounting them onto the 939 rims, I'm in the process of doing another swap like that and will be doing it to my wrecker once the tires get enough dry rot. I think they'd...
Jwade speaks the truth on this one. I was bidding on this truck, put in start bid and I was outbid instantly. I noticed the price still at $1500 but 2 bids placed so I took a screenshot just to be safe. Low and behold I got a winning notification which was confusing. I talked to GP with a screen...
You'll turn that allison into a metal slushy if you're not careful with that 400. It seems a 290 or 350 seem to be a better fit without the risk though I'd like to see a 400 in one of these trucks for sure!
Working on this right now. Ungreased M923 front bearing on an 08' RRAD rebuild, made it home 100 miles before giving up. I need a replacement hub, anyone parting a truck out? I've read that one can use an A2 hub if you seal the CTIS hole...thoughts?
Pull the injectors and see what's inside then bar it over by hand, that's the best way to approach this without causing more damage. You can also drop the pan and see what's going on on the bottom side.
It looks like a North Hood truck yes? If so follow what everyone else has said but do so after you pull out of their yard to give you more time. When you get home go through the wiring just to make sure rodents haven't nibbled anything through. Everything there has been sitting for a while in...
Been there, done that. Talk directly to Oscar from their tax department, he handles all these requests. I know the GP reps wont transfer you to him. PM sent w/ info.
Trucks have been known to be started by jumping them directly at the starter and the cables should be easy to replace. On this note, don't operate it without good batteries or else you'll burn out the regulator and then be dead in the road. Good luck!
