That is the sensor that tell the glow plugs whether to glow or not. So I guess you can eliminate it. But that type is no longer serviced. They have an updated version that fits in the same hole and comes with a new pigtail plug to complete the update. Good Luck.
With the daylight savings time it sure does get dark by 5. I did make a goal to get the fuel pump on the engine and I met that goal. The pump. The fuel pump push rod. the cover plate a new gasket and The Right Stuff. I cut off a short section from the end of the pump side. I installed the...
As you all know I have driven and used the CUCV's for just about everything. I used them hard. I would find it hard to defend an add on kit either way. I have had hundreds of thousands of miles on the 6.2 engines. Most issues I had I went looking for. The head gaskets and heads are no different...
Carefully check all the hose clamps. Lately I found a hose clamp that was gorilla tight and had made a small pin hole in the rubber. This allowed air to bleed in and make the vehicle drop the fuel prime. Check that bottom clamp on the bottom of the lift pump. I seen this twice in the past. And...
We have a winner. When I came home I had another package from Amazon. I quickly unboxed it and BINGO. We have a winner.
Meanwhile the Parts Geek pump that came today also was an incorrect pump.
Can you see the difference in the lever. The top one has zero free play when you depress the lever...
Number 2 pump arrived from parts geek. Wrong one. This is the picture but the pump that arrived had the incorrect push lever. had 1/2" of free play.

Does anyone know the length of the E brake cable lengths or the GM part numbers for the discontinued cables. All 3 of them. Please. I am not at my home and need the information. Getting parts is getting ridiculous. Does it have A/C was one of the questions. Yes and AM/FM 8 track I answered. The...
Can you reach in and get a tug on the bottom of the sash and get someone else to attempt to crank the window up? I think you have a regulator that has disengaged or has bad teeth in the gears of the regulator. They are easy to work on and replace but keeping them oiled and greased is key to the...
I never looked at a wiring diagram. I just learned by taking them apart and putting them back together for 35 years. I do lie. I looked at wiring diagrams but was never able to read them well enough to help me so I just dove in and checked things out. Trial and error with extra caution. Good Luck.
The Delphi pumps are also available at the factory yet but are much more expensive.
When it comes to a good reliable lift pump I would spend the money. Delphi has a reputable business and I see many of their products on the new GM vehicles. So saving $25. and getting a scrap import pump is not...

I just found this one and have one ordered. I may buy everyone I see at this point. I NEVER was held up for lack of parts...
