How do you move a CUCV pickup when you don't have a lot of room and just want tit closer to the garage? With the Honda tug. It worked and I don't need anything fancy. I thought about the Kubota but this was out and I thought why not try. Never seen that before. Be Safe.

I thought we had all this covered in the thread last week.
I do work at salvage yards from time to time. Many vehicles are branded never to be returned to road use again. Personally I like that on the newer vehicles because I feel bad for the unsuspecting buyer that buys a one-three year old vehicle that was totaled and rebuilt. All vehicles that are...
Remove that piece and toss it. That was a piece they put on the hose so it fit on the valve one way. Easy to remember top T to transmission and bottom B to back of motor. That rubber block made assembly idiot proof. It does nothing but make a leak when cracked. Good Luck.
I also want to add she told the guy all about the starting and how much we cared for the truck. See also told the guy she wanted pictures of it sitting in New Jersey at the exporter. By 1:30 yesterday we had pictures of it sitting at the exporter. The guy that picked it up was impressed with the...
Yes definitely check the drag link and the tie rod ends. My Son had a lifted M1028 and had little trouble running 40" tires out the turnpike for a few years. Once I located a pile of HMMWV 24 bolt tires on wheels he ran them. Even with the run flats in I never noticed steering issues. That was...
That bed side is open up to the rail. And the other great part is the bed side is bolted on 99.9% and only welded in the rear. If you wanted to you could take it off and fix it. I done that to a few as I was rebuilding them. That made having the bottom floor and front wall mush easier to handle...
That's an easy fix. The matching of the paint is simple if you have the paint colors damaged. But camouflage is not really that hard to match. A new bed for that little damage is like when the military replaced the CUCV engines because the rear main seals were leaking. Back in the early 80's...
I was able to get the engine turned over enough to get the 6 torque converter bolts out. I don't know if I had to remove as much as I did. But when I was under there with a cordless ratchet and impact I took out every nut and bolt I could and was able to rotate the engine enough to get all 6...
And Just Like that the CUCV M1009 was gone. On it's way to a new home in Germany.
My Wife also included special starting instructions in hopes that care would be taken during it's voyage. Good Bye.
First check the vacuum hoses and make sure the hose is still connected to the modulator on the passenger front side of the transmission. If still connected check the vacuum block on the shift modulator of the injection pump and carefully inspect the hoses connecting there. The long one runs back...
Well I couldn't wait to onto the diagnostics of the M1008 locked up engine. I tried the flywheel tool and the 24MM socket on the main crank pulley. Tight. Locked up tight and won't budge either way. So I think a moment and look up in the bell housing. I could get 4 maybe 5 of the torque...
Check your lift pump. There are 2 that fit and one is the wrong one. The lever on the correct one has resistance pumping action immediately upon depression and the lever is short and the spring is inside under the lever. The wrong pump has no resistance and the pumping action resistance takes...
Those are NOT GM fenders on the rear. They remind me of Arrowcraft conversion or Centurion conversion fenders. That belt molding is not on the stock dually is it?
Well that was fairly easy. i did learn when you drive the speed limit everyone passes you like you are parked. I made it back to the compound with no issues. Now I find out it has no E brake. Engage the wheel chocks. That makes some excitement when it must be moved around and has no driveshaft...
