Mine are at 60 all the way around, the Xl's sure seem to make the steering and ride much-more better! I didn't have to change the front axle shims with the XL's.
I would have loved to been out there today with the weather like it is but had 2 of my grown kids come home to see the wife and me.
Thanks to Glen 91W350 a little sweat pulling wrenches and cash, I now have a full set of Xl's on my duce, a full set of G177 tires on my XM818 with spare tire davit, delineators , composite tail lights on my M146 trailer and an adjustable landing leg on my M101A2 trailer. New tires on my boster...
Really try to use search.
There are a lot of threads on this, but if yours was an Army truck it would have come out in 24087 OD. I use Behr paint from Home Depot and there are several threads on that also. I just painted my M146 trailer with it and will do the tractor in the same as soon as it...
Waited for the OD to cure, added 20" star with flat white rustoleum to sides and top and chemical corps logo to the rear. Still need to get a smaller star to fit on the back between the 2 rear windows.
I ended up using two of the 18" Duce door stars on the back shutters.
Really like the 18 on the front, I have been wanting one as I am inseam challenged and would like to have both feet flat on the ground. Where did you get the mollle tank bag?
Just so you have some extra motivation, here's what it will look like when you get it done. Also after you get done and if your steering is hinkey, here's the link to shim the front. Tire Run!
Glad you are back.
2 coats is all I have ever done. I usually put a coat on in the AM and a second 3 hours later, but if your living in the tropics who knows? I wait a week before stenciling, I am putting 20" stars on my M146 tomorrow,
Well I waited a week and the stars seem to be fine.
Sorry man, you got a cell and it said you were not receiving calls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Again thank you Glen, got another load on the little trailer. Not to worry Dave we can go back out next week. BTW the 923 is still firmly up in the air.
Got the paint done yesterday so after I went down and checked it today decided to try another add on. I had an extra temper tent arch and 16' fly with really no use. I went back to the depot, bought 5 of these J hooks mounted them just below the drip rail and found a use for the extra tent...
M275 redux
After I got the trailers home the worst of the 2 got filled with extra stuff I had laying around and was put at a buddies farm.
I used white roofing sealer on both of them to head off any future leaks.
I collect NBC mask and protective gear which spends most of the time in boxes...
Nope it's semi gloss 24087 OD, the Marines I think at that time used semi gloss 24052 OD or lusterless 35042 both which I think has more green to them.
