How do I make my wipers reset

It's called a park switch. It's in the motor and the componant that facilitates the wipers parking. Some site or Google searches using "wiper park switch" and variations there of with your model will indubitably lead you to enough information to solve your problem. Either that or you could bust...

MEP-016D Yanmar Model L70AE-DEGFR Technical Manual

I think it must be quite different. The 016d kit has 53 parts and the 016e kit only has 20. I just won my first MEP-016D Monday and I haven't even picked it up yet. I'm anal about having the service information for equipment and I guess that's one more reason I'm fond of the green machines.:)...

Who here has taken their CUCV to the dunes?

Just remember that everything that the engine has will not overcome a traction problem. I've driven the equivalent of both 1009 and 1008 on the pipeline/powerline roads and sand of the empty quarter of the Arabian Peninsula. Bias ply sand tires are the best but radials work. Fun is certainly a...

    Latest Gen sales on Gl..

Thanks, like you said we will see how it plays. I'm getting pretty good at making a filtered and centrifuged 70/30 WMO/gasoline blend. I'll be running it on that after a service and loadbank if she is a runner.

(wanted) success stories on 6.2l svo/wvo conv.

Yes but not because of alternative fuels. I'm happy for the veg oil guys but I get free waste gasoline and crankcase oil so I run that with no vehicle modification.

    centerfuge vs. multiple inline filters

No problem getting the required 90 PSI without working the press to hard. The drill press allows you to easily adjust the shaft speed to whatever pump you have. I started with a 6.2 oil pump but it leaked around the shaft and it was working my motor pretty hard to get 90 psi. The power...

    centerfuge vs. multiple inline filters

I'll tell you how I do mine and I'll do some pictures one of these days. Mine is a steel 55 gallon drum upflow with a common 10 micron diesel fuel filter on the outlet. My filters are free because I get recycled used filters taken off during generator maintenance services. Lots of service...

Get rid of that biodiesel, for new MV buys

It's well established that Bio reacts with Dino and the galvanic factor complicates things. Clean and fresh is one thing but time and multiple variables is another. My advice would be to go with what works for you but I wouldn't leave any bio/dino blend in my system for to long. IMO...

pre bent supply pump rubber hose?

A spring inside the hose is something done in a lot of original equipment applications such as this. Find a loose wound spring of the right size and put in the non molded hose.

    CUCV name suggestion

My M1028 is "Machinam Para Bellum"

    strange "bump" when decelerating quickly

To confirm driveline windup as the cause get the condition to occur and instead of releasing the brake to create the clunk, instead shift to neutral or reverse. If that causes the clunk do the inspection and repairs below. the noise is a product of stick/slip at the Tcase output and slip yoke...

Doghead relay mod not needed after July 1985 production

Any relay can fail in the closed position but I agree the relay recommended in the DH modification is much less likely to fail in the closed position than the OE or a direct repllacement part.

Doghead relay mod not needed after July 1985 production

Don't trust a blower relay to do the critical job that this starter relay performs. Regardless of the point gap the component has proven itself to be less than robust. Older engines with starting issues place additional stress on this relay. The change in the relay point gap may have made that...

    Blower motor keeps blowing fuse

Step #1 for all CUCV electrical issues is the fuse panel. Pull the fuses and look how nasty the terminal blades of each fuse are. Each corroded fuse is a potential heating element that WILL cause problems. My Recommendation is to replace each and every fuse and give your fuse panel a clean...

    CUCV Winterfront

I have a piece of corrugated plastic sheet (like cardboard) and the blackout light holds it in place nicely. I suppose you could do the same thing with lexan or any other flexible sheet material. zip ties or bailing wire optional but I haven't needed it.
