My Bobbed Deuce is almost done

Wow! What an awesome build. Like has been said before, there are so many ideas here. You mentioned earlier about making the gauge panel angle toward the driver for better visibility. I have thought about modifying mine somehow to better see the gauges. Would be interested to see what you come up...

    M939/A1/A2 ABS vs. Non-ABS Trucks

On a lighter note, though, at least now you know how to do a quick 180 in your 5-ton.:-D

The -24P manual for the M35A3 has a good breakdown of how it is mounted. Fig 154.

    11x20 VS 395 offroad performance

I agree. I don't plan on doing much, if any, offroading. I'm only looking to get away from bias ply tires, and something with a longer tread life, without getting a civilian tire.

    11x20 VS 395 offroad performance

I'll chime in on this, too. I'm not trying to be argumentative, just trying to get a good grip:roll: on tire abilities. Now, I agree that the 395/15.5 tire set-up does look sweet. Three more inches of ground clearance never hurt, either. However, how many of you that don't like the 9.00s have...

Tapping a valve on a 55 gallon drum.

Looks like a black pipe coupling would work, too. Just go to your favorite hardware store and pick up whatever size you need. Then, cut a hole and weld it in. Remember: Safety First!

Offered a Deuce, for the best price.

Sweet! That definitely needs to be saved, and would be quite the conversation piece.:-D

    Weight of Deuce parts

Never had a third body around to help us pick one up. However, after buying two at auction, the sticker on the t-case and pallet said >500lbs. IIRC. May have been a little more as this was 6 months ago, and I can't really remember. I just know the number started with a 5.

M35A2 Crew Cab #2 with rear steer

Looks good, as always. Can't wait to see a four wheel steer deuce.:-D

    Weight of 2.5T Rockwell Axles?

No problem. Glad I could be of assistance.

Thanks for the offer M1075, but it looks like I won't be able to get away.

New type of Allison in deuce

It should bolt right up. An SAE #3 is a SAE #3. All you need to come up with is a flexplate, I believe.

New type of Allison in deuce

The multifuel has an odd bolt pattern. It is not a standard SAE pattern, but it does have an adapter on it to mate it to the Spicer transmission, which is a SAE #3 pattern.

    Fuel Block

Guess I could've researched that a little bit. I had no idea of the availability of those parts. Since those trucks are what I grew up with I just assumed that they were still somewhat plentiful.

    Fuel Block

The '82 and '83 6.2 L Chevy trucks came with a spin on filter. Actually they had two. One was on the firewall where yours is now and the other was behind and below the air cleaner in the valley of the motor. You might could find one at a junkyard and nab the whole setup.

Great pics. Thanks for sharing for those of us in a not so snow inclined climate.

Warthog is picking them up Tuesday morning. If you could get them to Texarkana/New Boston would be great.
