I think I need the rubber fuel return hose that goes from the fuel filters down to the frame and connects to the copper line.
It's leaking pretty good. I took the lower connection apart, cleaned and put it back together, but it still leaks. I can't tell for sure where it's leaking from. It...
Replacing the horn kit was really easy. Only hiccup was the screws with the kit were just a little too small to grab the holes in the steering wheel. Pulling the new wire through was super easy. The kit did come with a new plug for the steering box.
I think I like the looks of the old style...
So I went to blow my horn for my little guys today and, "nothing". Was working fine last week, although the button was a little stiff to push. I figure it had to be the button, so I took it apart. It's the older style horn and the rubber pads that hold it together (riveted to the steel plate)...
Wow, great set-up you have there! I would love to have a shop like that. I love my little Kubota B2320, but it sure wouldn't move something like that around!
After changing to 30 wt. I am noticing it is getting a "little" easier to shift from 1-2. I also tore down and cleaned/inspected the shift mechanism. Not sure which helped more. Maybe a combination of both.
Doesn't look too bad to me. My truck had a little short slobber tube on it and the starter was coated in nasty tar-like oil. Yours doesn't have a tube at all and the starter is nice and clean. I've just come to the conclusion they are going to seep and leak a little no matter what.
That 1-2...
Drove around a bit today and can't say that I really noticed a big difference. Maybe a bit easier to shift, but then again I also had just adjusted the clutch and tightened down my gear shifter that was way loose and sloppy.
Read many threads about it saying that 30 wt. was what Spicer originally spec'd for the tranny. Decided to give it a try. Heard accounts of it shifting better and less gear noise. Thought I'ld give it a try.
So I added a longer slobber tube today. I got the NAPA one 3' 1.25" I.D. I noticed on the metal part of the tube that curves down and out around the turbo, there is an air line plumbed in. Right above it there is another threaded hole with nothing in it. I was trying to trace the airline...
Just got done adjusting the clutch free play. What a pain. Had to drop the winch drive shaft to be able to turn the clevis end. Then I drained the gear oil from the tranny and filled it with 30Wt oil. Hope it helps the tranny shift a bit better. I know it sure smells a lot better than gear...
