Is there a way we can still get this info? I saw this awesome thread is closed:http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?45889-2010-VIN-Info-Thread/page78. I'ld love to get this info on my truck.
1959 Kaiser Jeep w/ winch
Stock Number: 2320-077-1617 (?)
Serial Number: 024012661

Here's the beast. It's says it's a 1959 on the data plate. Still has the old OD green on the inside. Interior is in great shape, but I do need a driver seat back recovered.
I bought a gallon of the Simple Green and will see how it does. It's supposed to be safe. Wow that Zep Purple is Nasty stuff!! Unless you want to remove your paint I guess.
I think one of the tops I gave is a cargo trailer cover. It's also new. Don't have a trailer though. Could those rounds poles be parts of a trailer too?
Well my truck got here today right on time today. Here's the thread on the purchase: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?124691-Finally-coming-to-fruition!!-Getting-a-Deuce!
I think I got a really good deal. I paid $6,000 for the truck. Cost me another $1,000 to get it shipped here...

I just committed to a duece that will be in my hands on Saturday. When I test drove it, the engine and transmission were pretty oilly and greasy. I want to clean it all up so I can track down and fix any leaks. What's the best way to clean her up? Is a pressure washer a no-no? What's a good...
I couldn't stand it. I read and re-read every thread I could find on the possible issues with the truck. I kept coming back with, "I can do that". It was just too good of a deal with all the spare parts and the winch. So, I just overnighted a check and found a shipper. It will be in my...
Well back home without a deuce. Sadly it wasn't quite what I thought. Was a little "rougher" in person. probably a good deal for someone with more experience and the means to tackle bigger jobs. It's a shame because there were a lot of extra parts. The extra tires (mounted on wheels) looked...
After years of yearning for a Deuce, it's finally happening!! I have had an offer accepted on a nice looking winch truck. I am getting what I think is a screaming good deal on the truck. Fiberglass troop seats, lots of spare parts (14 wheels and tires!), cargo cover, etc. etc. Looks like it...
When I had my Pinz I wanted to do this (also Photoshop Job):
Would have been really cool, especially around here where full blown winter lasts 6 months of the year.
