M818 with a 105 loaded, M35A2 with 105 loaded, M885 with shelter and M101A2 loaded, M1009 with pioneer trailer loaded. On the way to KCI to pick up Canadians and meet Californians. Ready to roll out tomorrow for the 1.5 hour convoy to Topeka. Still don't know if I am dropping one at your house...
Well I guess I will drag stoves, I have 2 styles the older pot belly with solid fuel grate, and the tall pot belly that only burns fuel. The tool trailer is the one that they removed the rear doors and replaced with a solid sheet but the hinges are redone and it is water tight. Might have to...
I am still trying to figure out how to get my Pioneer Tool Trailer there as I have decided to sell it off also to help finance getting a box van for the M818. Only thing is it is full of tent stoves and I don't know how well they will sell in July in Kansas!
Bobert bring what you got, some of the best bargains I have gotten at these were in the parking lot. I have tables inside but will also have big stuff out in the lot, you will not be the only person selling off a truck or a trailer. Usually if it is not an inside /outside convention, like...
From what I understand there will be an outside display area were you and your truck can come and go. There is supposed to be an outside roofed arena with security that you can have your truck displayed or parked in at night. If your MV is put inside the main arena for judging or display it can...
It all depends on who, when and where it was painted all kinds of paint were used, carc and noncarc, latex, polyurethane whatever folks could get a hold of. My M885 has about 3 colors of sand/tan on it. It doesn't show up in a picture but does in person.
Part of the story is here IV. USE OF...
M920's will be kooler and is on the right track as using a cut down 5T bed will cover the wheels fully and having drop sides makes it much more user friendly. Plus a cut down cargo bed will be stronger, when I cut out the fender wells you could see the whole trailer bed sag. I had to go back use...
Dave T. Yep plenty of med chests and I have about 25 of the gray Hardigg cases left, each one of my trucks has one to store the canvass in when I not displaying them. If it cools off any this evening I will be down at the barn loading them in the M818 cargo. I'll be taking some surgical tables...
Finally got it done....almost, my heavy welder shot craps and my buddies and my time off never lined up so ended up using a 110v buzz box with fluxed wire to tack it all together. That way I can load it with trade goods for the MVPA convention, which is just over a week away and weld it up solid...
I've got some extra stowage boxes off of the LMTV , medical cases and mermites. I am hoping to find a MV mount for the M8 chemical alarm. If anybody needs the head ache rack with bow storage for the drop side duce bed let me know and I will bring them.
THE 35TH ANNUAL MVPA CONVENTION will be held at the Topeka, KS Expocentre, display and vendor opens at 0700 on the 7th.
I live a little over an hour away and will try and have 3 trucks there. M885, M818, M35A2 each pulling a trailer. Plus I am cleaning out the barn of extra stuff to sell and...
That one used to have one of the Guard homemade steel boxes on the back. They removed the box when it went to DRMO and not the stack. Also has the "party deck" tail gate!
I am bringing a duce and M818. Move in starts on the 7th and goes from 07:00 to 21:00! Thought I would have to make 2 trips, but picking up some folks from the "Great White North" on Tuesday evening and will give them the choice of truck to drive! If they don't melt. Kansas in July can be Brutal!
Kurt the only way you will get a SF97, no bidders fee and paying tax on your bid is to buy from GSA. When the DRMO/DLA ran the show it was free sf97, no tax, no fees those days like the 10 cent Coke are long gone!
I was going to tow a M119A1 6 ton Van trailer with my M818 but neither one of the glad hands on the front of the trailer are marked or painted. Standing on the 5th wheel of the 818 looking at the nose of the trailer which is the service and which is the emergency?? Thanks in advance for the help.
