That switch is the same, doesnt matter if its a M151, M35 or any MV that uses it? I will drive it to work tomorrow and try to trace it down. I mean its rained a bit before but the lights still worked, just seems to be gettin worse.
The BO switch that controls the lights wont let the headlights come on. They come on for a second and then I hear a metallic klink inside the switch and ALL lights shut off momentarily. After a bit they come on IF I return the headlight switch into the stop/park lites position. The light lock...
Cat, Cougar, I got the assorted buch of O-rings from the A-zone and used a thicker but tight ring. With a screw driver and a tad bit of soap I slowly finesed it back into the housing. It was tighter than (insert something crude here) and I would bet it wouldnt have leaked.
As far as the right...
I really want the shifter boot too...
Im not as versed with deuces but i believe that is ur slobber tube. Until the turbo warms up and seals completely some oil seeps and drip down, which is normal. Might want to let another one of these cats chime in for sure tho...
Thanks to DOGHEAD for sending me his nozzle (thats right, Im using another mans nozzle in my manifold). Doesnt leak a drop... from there at least.
Now Ive found another leak from on top and toward the front of the valve cover. Its a device I believe is part of the FDC or the manifold heater...
Chineese parts on an MV? My 2cents is under the impression you will be making the repair again in the near future. Could always go back to FM since he appears to be the only kid on the block. But would cross ref the rings for future ref...
It doesnt go to one side specificly. When my dad drove the truck he said it was pretty noticable (I thought it was my imagination). I will take a look and let you know what I find.
I figured one of you guys would poo-poo on having him flat towing vehicles so close to each others weight. I realize the 1028 is heavier than the Blazer but not by too much. I recall hearing stories about some of you doing the same thing only to make a sharp turn or brake on a wet surface and...
While driving at speed the front end has a tendancy to drift slightly. I just replaced the shocks and steering damper, Im guessing ball joints are on the horizon. As I recall theyre not too pricey but are they a PITA??? Air tools a must?
FWIW I havent lifted the front end up and tried shaking...
Get in close with ur local A-zone/Advance auto. Know their first names if you dont already. If they do you a favor buy the crew a Lil ceasars pizza. Then one day go see the coolest store manager and ask him if you can have a few gallons of the oil they collect for free. Its no skin off their...
Santa:
"U/x or u/e" is medic nomenclature for Upon examination. Theres also U/a for upon arrival and c/c for chief complaint. Im hip with vernacular...
Tapping the cap with a light hammer and scewdriver/chiesel/punch eventually released it...
The rubber o-rings I thought were initially nylon crumbled when I tried to take them off. The new ones were universal o-rings from an assorted kit (a-zone) and dont really fit zactly but I believe will...
RE: manifold heater O-rings replacement
How in gods name do you get the end cap off after the c-clip is removed? I have nearly every other piece off and cannot get the (2nd from right, after the retainer clip) cap to come loose so I can change out that o-ring.
And now I cant find a schematic of what goes where. The pic somebody recently posted was for the side closest to the firewall, with the parts inside in order. Thats not the big issue, the nozzle side has a small spring, a 3 pronged crown (Im guessing it holds spring) thingy, and a small ball...
