    Grandpa's M37

Alternatives: Vintage Power Wagon offers rebuilds already done or can redo yours. There's also www.gastankrenu.com/‎ or the POR-15 treatments. I'm not sure if I read it here or on G741, but tumbling with pennies as an abrasive can be done. Seems like it would lead to tired arms, but . . ...

1st MV purchase. Need advice for which truck fits my needs 5 ton or deuce

How could I have forgotten Raystown? . . . Terrible to be away so long. They've really upped the size of boats they allow in the lakes over the years. I know (used to know???) the stretch you're talking about. I had relatives that lived in Martinsburg where we used to visit. I think it's...

1st MV purchase. Need advice for which truck fits my needs 5 ton or deuce

Welcome to the posting world of SS. These guys are all giving great perspectives. I'm trying to figger out where one would put a 28' boat out there and which mountain you're climbing. Cresson used to be a lot worse, the boat would take up half of Prince Gallitzen, so I'm guessing it ain't...

How did you like the results of the electrolysis on the gas tank? Did you seal it with a liner afterwards? Steve

    M146 RV Conversion

I thought about that capacity as well but as you go much further up, you start to bump in to 220 volts unless you use multiple units. Steve

    M146 RV Conversion

After you upgrade the AC, you might consider small in-wall fans down low that would push cold air in to the bathroom and others up high to pull warm, damp air out. Or maybe the high ones would work if there were sufficient square inches of pass-through registers at 12 - 18". Steve

Can "clearance lights" be used as turn signals/flashers?

I'm sure the clearance lights would work, but my truck came with lollipop lights installed by the prior owner. I do like them a lot and they retain the stock appearance. They're clearly visible from the driver's side in the left lane. Mine face rear only. Front is already taken care of by...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Good idea, but I've found that chocks work best on the flat with parking brake well-adjusted and set, regardless of chock size. Otherwise the darned truck figures it found another rock and rolls over it. Steve

swapping out a transfer case. suggestions?

For the brake drum, have you checked TM 9-2520-246-34-1 around 2-25x to see if that will help? As for batteries, all I could think of is to put each one on a very slow trickle charge to see what happens and check specific gravity for dead cells. Steve

    M101 series crank landing gear?

Perhaps I misunderstood. I also bought a crank handle, but I thought that the thread was about finding the whole landing leg assembly. Which is it? Steve

    M101 series crank landing gear?

There was a 101 part-out thread in the classifieds but I don't recall whether there were landing gears available. Worth checking. Steve

Take it from somebody with a bit of experience. There's NOTHING about a wedding or engagement ring that's cheaper than a truck when you figger in cost of ownership. No! No! No! Joanne.....I wuz just ..... eep Steve

    Exterior Latex/Acrylic House Paints

I always remember people who want what I don't have;) The trick will be remembering the face at Gilbert. I hate getting senile. I'm thinking of selling badges on lanyards to SS-ers with avatars and screen names at shows. Steve

    Exterior Latex/Acrylic House Paints

Flatness comes with curing. It'll be flatter in 6 months than today. Also, texture counts. Part of the reason CARC looks so flat is because it's rough. That can be attained in the spraying (see the Behr post on the M35 back aways). You'll also find photos of my M105 sprayed with semigloss...

Need Help with Oil Filter Identification

"...Could that be for the "Military Junior" filter housing?..." We took it to the Sussex show and the guesses were indeed Junior, but for a Jeep. That might be it because we also found out that Jeep engines were used in various stationary applications, and that's the general application that...
