Help me trouble shoot starting issues ?

You'll learn more eating at Denny's. Private joke, as my last name is Denny. Back on topic. No need for a relay, timer, computer card or anything more than a starter button and wire. Gotta have resister plugs and not hold them on to long. I have a tractor set up like that. Tractor takes a...

    need front drive shaft.

I have a ujoint press and a "C" press as well. I've actually a pretty decent shop. No lift, no tranny jack, and nothing to pull an engine with except my little tractor that won't actually do it., shoulda seen it trying to lift a 350 ci V6, yeah that's "six", out of a 66 one ton. But, smaller...

Help me trouble shoot starting issues ?

Hey mangus, you really don't like any 12 volt conversions??? Not even to simplify the glow plug system?

Help me trouble shoot starting issues ?

Your gonna need a volt meter. I like the needle type, as the swing of the needle means more to me than numbers and decimal points. Anyhow, start at the batteries, and keep working toward the starter, find where the voltage drops. Keep that test meter in the truck and use it if it happens again.

I see a couple used on the ebad, but would rather buy from someone here, so I know it's good, or at least as described.

    need front drive shaft.

Only problem with mine is it taint there. As for snow what's that? Right now we got mush, about hip high in places, oughta freeze up real good. At least my posi / got-lock works. So does the back wind, but the tailgate wont drop. I just wired in two fuse boxes. One under the hood to power...

    Farm M1008 question

Heck, I run kerosene in my little deisel Japanese tractor. It put puts just the same. Only issues are cold weather and gelling wax in the filter. A little deisel additive goes a long way.

    High/Low Beams?

Another course, if your so minded, would be to install a foot switch. I've always thought routing the starter switch wire through one would be a good safety anti-theft thing.

    ARRGGGGGHHHHHH! Tire frustration!

I've a local shop, very pleasant, and they let me do the carrying to and from the machines. $7.50 a tire. Even so, I own one of the cheapo manual tire changers and a cheapo bead breaker, and a cheapo bubble balancer myself. They are all from harbor freight and they all work. The cheapo...

    M1008 fuel sender replaced???

To me it sounds as if the sending unit is not right for the truck. Did you hold the old and new side by side and compare? Were the arms the same angle, with the same amount of swing?

    No start, ?Batts?

It would make sense. It started with a jump. Might just be those battery connections or the batteries. If not, I'll do the TM thing. Many thanks all. I like electrical work, but these cucv's have a few extra's kinks compared to the usual GM.

    No start, ?Batts?

Just in case the batteries are good, what else would it be?

    No start, ?Batts?

Forgot to mention, the volt gauge in the cucv read very low also. I don't have a load tester. Dosn't it take a carbon pile load tester to really test out a battery?
