If one battery is undercharged it won't start the truck. This happened to my M818 one day. Only had two batteries in it instead of 4. The intake heater is 12v, so it is hooked to only one battery. I drove it all day and someone had turned the heater on- I didn't notice. Went to restart the truck...
That vent runs to other components- I don't think you want to fill them up with silicon fluid. A remote reservoir is vented already- so you won't need to vent the MC at the MC.
The MC does need to be 'vented'. But only to prevent a vacuum from forming. If you are using the same parts, it will...
Thanks! I wanted to keep it and do what your doing, but I didn't have a tractor, and I was trying to save my land at the time so I sold it. And the M35. M215 has the m146 trailer now, for his GMC tractor. I know he's been working on it. It was complete, had 3 ladders even. Did have some broken...
I would run a line from the top of the tank, down the side, and put a valve. Open when filling. That would be your vent. It might not have filled over half way because the pump can only deal with so much head pressure- if your filling from the bottom the pressure the pump has to overcome builds...
The state would make WAY more money by not allowing us to get antique tags, and all of us having to get weighted tags. By letting antique trucks have a special registration and tag, the state LOSES money.
Lots of DOT regs exclude antique equipment, not used in commerce, specifically in...
Butch- I have IFTA stickers on my commercial truck- if it were gasoline, I STILL would have to pay the IFTA taxes for other states that I traveled through.
The CDL thing is still very clear in SC. 26,000lbs or less, and not used in commerce, no CDL. 26,001lbs or more, or used in commerce...
I moved from VA to SC with a m146 on a dolly behind a m35. Total weight was 39,860lbs. All my shop tools were in the deuce and clothes and furniture in the trailer.
And you can back one up- if you are really good and have patience. [thumbzup]
Well, score one for me. Instead of testing it, I just pulled the water pump.
Here's what I found:
It looked good when it came out. then I tried to turn the impeller- it turns on the shaft. Pulled it off, all the splines are sheared off, so it just freewheels on the shaft.
Problem solved...
