M35A2 from Hooks, TX to Daleville, AL

Negative, was told by the lady there yesterday that the trucks in question were driven to and parked where they are now about two months ago.

M35A2 from Hooks, TX to Daleville, AL

And I can help if you come through Louisiana. I won five of those trucks there and am waiting for clearances as well. Just went and picked up a trailer today there and looked over two of my trucks. Not disappointed at all with the condition.

Feasibility of putting 900 series axles under a deuce

You could just swap in a dual circuit master cylinder, do some brake line plumbing and be done. As far as rim and tire availability just get some adapters man. Sounds like you are setting yourself up to do a bunch of un-needed work.

    Believed Tire Problems

Yea, disconnect the ctis crap so it doesn't get you killed. I think I may have one truck that it actually works on out of 25 trucks with it. The rest just let the tires go flat as you drive. Good way to get a blowout.

    M923 alternator

They do have a kill cable. The shutdown solenoids fail all the time.

Deuce repair after scrappers got to it.

See, now we know the whole story. That's pretty awesome. Usually when parts are taken at a scrap yard there is no getting them "back". I was just curious as to the nature of what exactly led to that.

    M35 or M211 for a first deuce?

Go with the m35 series. They are simple and more reliable than the gasser trucks. Also note that the M211 has twice as many wheel cylinders as the M35 trucks, and thus it will cost twice the money, take twice the maintenance, and twice the headache, and that's just on brakes. Also consider that...

Deuce repair after scrappers got to it.

Please explain why you keep saying you are getting parts "Back". I would like to know the story behind this.

    Deuce muffler option

Just make one man, expanded metal is cheap enough, and you are obviously a capable fabricator.

    Realistic mileage for a deuce

Driving habits also will effect lifespan of wear components.

    Hood hinge rebuild

For the record I have not done this yet, but need to. Thought I would select my preferred option from this thread and make one for other new members to reference as well.

    Hood hinge rebuild

More than one way to skin a cat. I'm sure most people just replace worn hinges, but figured I would start a thread to include pictures and part used/ parts sources for this particular project. Pics are a must. Let the chaos begin.

The good and the bad of owning something tracked and/or armored?

Who needs a drift car when you can drift with armor? That's awesome!

    Front tires not spinning

It is easier to swap the case out one time and never have to worry about the quirks/ issues associated with the sprag again. Yes, you still should drain and fill it with fresh fluid sometimes but you end up with a unit that is much more trouble free. The operator shouldn't have to mess with the...

    Front tires not spinning

Seems to me that air shift cases are a lot less prone to failure, and if they fail to engage it doesn't always mean removal and tear down. Forgive me for my bias, but I was a transmission and driveline man for years and sprags were always weak links.

wiper blade trouble hitting on just one side

Just swap the windshields out. Put the odd one on the passenger side.

wiper blade trouble hitting on just one side

If the wiper is hitting the bottom of the frame no matter which side you put it on then I would be led to believe that you either have a wiper arm that is too long, or you are not getting the correct wiper blades.

Parts Help with M35A2 Signal Control

Yes it will, I just made the swap myself a couple weeks ago. It is a direct swap.
