    GL wants my Deuce back

First thing I think everybody should do is 'chill out'. We go thru this every couple of months but I've yet to see or hear of anybody's truck going back. They changed the code, they changed the law, they changed their mind, if they really want it, they'll get it. When and 'if' they finally...

what size door in shed for a deuce

When I put up my first equipment barn I had a 12' X 10' rollup door in the front. When it was all done I went to back my dump truck and trailer in, the trucks mirrors wouldn't go thru the door. I was so concerned with the height of the door, I overlooked the width. :cookoo: So that's...

what size door in shed for a deuce

Really shouldn't go less than 12' X 12' or you could run into side clearance problems with the mirrors. Don't ask how I learned this....

Suggestions Wanted! Your Input Is Welcome!

Mine is not so much a suggestion as a request. I'm scared of changes made to a website because me and computers are from generations that are decades apart. It seems like I just about get things figured out and along comes a change of some sort and I'm right back in "computer...

    New side exhaust

Anything and everything that can go down your stack, will, and go directly into the turbo. Water, snow, or whatever anybody would care to dump down there is headin for turbo city and could get $$$ in a hurry. A plastic jug will keep stuff out for now, but you may want to reconsider this.

Tale tale signs of bearing failure

Another thing you can do that's free is to cut your oil filters open when you change oil and check the filter paper for metal shavings. Let the filter drain for and hour or so then cut the base plate off. Remove the pleated paper and spread it out on a piece of cardboard. If there's metal...

    Why FreightTrain was banned...

F w i w When you enter another persons house (SS) you are expected to respect and follow that persons rules and wishes. If you knowingly disregard and disrespect those rules, you can darn well expect to be dealt with in whatever manner the owner sees fit. The quest (FT) broke the rules on...

    Alcohol Evaporator, Block Heater etc.

Bjorn, Just out of curiosity, does it mention anything on the back of the can pictured in post #13 about evaporator systems?

    Alcohol Evaporator, Block Heater etc.

My understanding is, that the older systems are less affected by alcohol than the newer systems. The reason given to me was that the older seals were made with more real rubber and most internal parts were some sort of metal. Nowadys these seals and internal parts are made from various plastics...

    Alcohol Evaporator, Block Heater etc.

Tech Bulletin Here's a 2007 Bendix Tech Bulletin that addresses alcohol and other additives in newer style systems.

    Alcohol Evaporator, Block Heater etc.

They don't want you using it on the newer trucks with air dryers as it 'could' cause an explosion when it gets to the heated dryer. On the systems like are used on older trucks and the deuce it's totaly safe.
