First thing I think everybody should do is 'chill out'. We go thru this every couple of months but I've yet to see or hear of anybody's truck going back. They changed the code, they changed the law, they changed their mind, if they really want it, they'll get it.

Anything and everything that can go down your stack, will, and go directly into the turbo. Water, snow, or whatever anybody would care to dump down there is headin for turbo city and could get $$$ in a hurry.

Another thing you can do that's free is to cut your oil filters open when you change oil and check the filter paper for metal shavings. Let the filter drain for and hour or so then cut the base plate off. Remove the pleated paper and spread it out on a piece of cardboard. If there's metal...

When you enter another persons house (SS) you are expected to respect and follow that persons rules and wishes. If you knowingly disregard and disrespect those rules, you can darn well expect to be dealt with in whatever manner the owner sees fit.

My understanding is, that the older systems are less affected by alcohol than the newer systems. The reason given to me was that the older seals were made with more real rubber and most internal parts were some sort of metal. Nowadys these seals and internal parts are made from various plastics...
They don't want you using it on the newer trucks with air dryers as it 'could' cause an explosion when it gets to the heated dryer.
On the systems like are used on older trucks and the deuce it's totaly safe.
