I would think any Heavy Duty Truck Accessory Dealer could find an AC unit w/compressor to fill your needs. They mount them in cab, on cab, behind cab, just about any place. Check the truck dealers around you and see where they get their special installs done.
If nothing else, it's a starting...

Welcome aboard bz28, your truck will need state inspection and will probably only be tackeled by a truck shop. Not many car mechanics would even consider it nowadays.

Just had the very same experience with one of my tanks. Eastern Surplus, TNJ Murray, Saturn Surplus or just someone parting out a truck can get you a tank for under $120.00. They are out there, just take some time to look around.

Chuck, do yourself a favor an get the right wrench, cause there's not much room and it makes the job so much easier. There are members on here that sell good remakes for very little $'s.
You'll need a 9/16th socket to loosen the two clamp bolts, the spanner for the front and a 1 13/16th" open...

Go into 'Resources', click on 'Tech Manuals' find TB-746-93-1 and that will get you started. There's more than 1 TM in there on Markings, so if that's not the right era just look through the listings.
