The throttle shaft screw only increases fuel pressure and doesn't mess with the governor..you need to put a stinger or a button in it for that. I agree though, a non piston cooled engine will not last too long when loaded and the fuel jacked up.

On the Cummins, depends on what pump you have. If the pump is an older type with a circular cover and snapring around the throttle shaft, it needs to be done on a stand. If it is the later style with an aluminum cover rivited on, there is a screw in the throttle shaft that can be turned. BE...

The valves won't be opening or closing 'cause the cam isn't moving. Easy way to tell if the valves are FUBAR is to take the rockers off, pull the injectors and put air in the cylinders with a rubber tipped blow gun. A cylinder that has everything in tact will turn the engine over with the air...

How will the crank be hurt? If you reuse a valve that has been smacked with a piston, it CAN break the head off. When that happens, the rod could bend, then break, and worst case, you'll be re blocking or swinging an engine 'cause the block vents itself.

Well, it's an M series truck and the wheel LOOKS like the one in a deuce. I'd say yes. If you have the parts manual for the 123, see ifthe NSN is the same as the deuce.

I'd say I need to see some examples to judge it, but as long as it isn't kinked in half, it is only 1/4 and 3/8 OD line, so the lines are probably just to activate things so there won't be much flow there, just a need to charge a device.

Just keep in mind that when you fill a filter on the Cummins, you are putting unfiltered fuel into the system. There are some class fit parts in the pump that don't like unfiltered dieselgas.

Some are orificed with a screen and some are just a spring and ball. The spring and ball type are mostly on inline pumps and the others are used on rotary type pumps.
