The over head bunk is the original camper framing. There are two 1x4s that carry the load along with the shear of the plywood. You can see them in the picture below Deut 21 18 “If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey the voice of his father or the voice of his mother...

    Inexpensive camper/utiliy box for m35a2

Today I made an important addition to the army truck. I also sorted the tools and parts still inside. And I installed an antique 110 volt light fixture. Last but not least I carpeted under the table (Ps 12:6 [KJV]) The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of...

Is a Dana 80 strong enough?

ruststud does not have a God complex. I remember once that he admitted he was wrong in a post ;). But I suspect God doesn't know much more about heavy trucks. I always enjoy his post.

Just inherited a m35a2 and need some assistance.

Unless the turbo is producing enough boost to offset, the cylinders (not intake) are under vacuum on the intake stroke. A piston going down pulls more air than an intake valve can flow. I know I am nitpicking, also just going down the rods are pulled buy piston and cylinder wall friction. Again...

    Deuce driving tips

I keep a small squeegee inside. I wonder if one could mount a wiper arm and blade on the inside too. I seem to get just as much rain on the inside as the outside at freeway speeds

hard to turn at low speed at times

I have a sprag also. Remember rolling even a couple inches backwards in a forward gear or forward in reverse will engage the sprag.

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

Three strokes to cool down one stroke to heat up. And on that one stroke you would have to have 100% Thermal heat transfer to the piston to get 1200 degree aluminum. In the past I regularly ran 1300 egts. (Would not recommend, Bad injection pump advanced unit) When I pulled my heads there was no...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Don't just assume its the air pack again. Check and make sure the master cylinder is completely returning. Mine would stop just short and hold pressure in the brakes before I rebuilt it.
