We put chemlights on the tubes of our howitzer because we were to lazy to clamp the lights on the tube. It was very easy to tell distance. If you could not see the chemlight you were to far away. If the tube of the howizter enters the front windshield between the seats then you are to close...
I plan on just knocking off the flaking paint and sandblasting the rust. I will then shoot red oxide on the bare metal. I will then chalk out the lines for the 3 color woodland pattern and shoot away. I will probably put down a base coat of green first. I won't put in too much prep time. That...
I think I heard something but I did't see anything. Pictures please. I am also putting a winch on my deuce. Did you happen to write down the sizes and lengths on the bolts for attaching the winch brackets to the frame rails and bumper. I know I can figure it out but it would be nice to just take...
I want to tell you all right now. I bid on anything that has m35a2, M35, military truck, m109, m44, in the title or description. I also bid on anything on GL or GSA meeting the above criteria. It just happens that all you other guys usually beat me out.

Yes they did come from the same unit. I still have not had time to paint mine. I still haven't had time to put in the brake handle and cable. I am all set when spring comes. I have a mountain of parts to install.
Mine looked like a motorpool fabrication. the hinge side has a rivet in it. I will work up a dimensional sketch and send it along. It probably looked more stock before the paint pealed off.
My philosophy is try to keep my truck as close to the one I drove in the Army. This requires 9.00 20 dual rear NDT's. If I drove the truck more I would start upgrading with power steering, locking hubs in front, remove the rearmost driveshaft, and put on better street tires.
It really wasnt clear by just putting up the sizes that you were comparing radials to bias plys. That is a totally different story. Radials run lower than a comparable bias ply. That being said the same size tires from different makers yield different measurements. Bias ply 12.5 compared to...
Here they are. They run the full length of the back of the cab from Rear door post to rear door post.
A few different panels and alot of pop rivits mixed with some stitch welds. The first pic is of the ubolts they cut instead of unbolting. Incidently, there are holes in the reinforcement...
Well the most secure lock would be the high security padlocks I used in the arms room for the door but come on the chains will break with enough leverage. Or you could just pull the chain away from the what ever it is connected to. Put up against some of the locks you get at Walmart the 5200...
