I would like the ability to swap between 6 bolt stock wheels, 10 bolt wheels from the 5 ton and 10 bolt 22.5" wheels for modern retreads.
Cost is of course a concern considering how large these wheel...
cable actuated ones are common in aftermarket coolant based heating kits.
air actuated valves are more an industrial item but can be sourced from mcmaster.com
only problem with mine is poor connection at the button - looks like someone used a screw driver to scrape corrosion off the brass pieces to get it to work. it is intermitent right now, lost the spring inside the button though so i no horn till i get a replacement spring.
i'm still leaning toward the adapters as that would let me use 5 ton wheels or common commercial wheels anytime i wanted with a little added offset on the backspacing to push the wheels farther out.
that's the sign of two vibrations at slightly different frequencies - at one phase in their cycles they are almost opposed canceling eachother out and at the other end they are adding to eachother doubling the effect.
I've been seriously contemplating custom wheel adapters to go from 6 bolt to the larger 10 bolt pattern. It would be nice to be able to swap between 6 bolt and 10 bolt, 20 inch and 22.5inch wheels easily.
if you are going full hyrdaulic then there is no need for a mechanical linkage between the two rear's you can link two hydraulic rams with tubing, and one feed tube to each ram. they are forced to move the same ammount (so long as you don't get a leak) and it still only uses the same amount of...
part of evaporative emissions control on modern cars involves a tight seal on the gas tank. the vent line is routed through a canister that collects the fumes that are then sucked into the engine through the intake. There is usually a solenoid valve to control when the canister is allowed to...
thanks for the design. saved me a bunch of time from having to take all the measurements myself to make one.
I am replacing my 24 with a 150amp 24 alternator but it won't be moving the upper bracket from the original location. Your design will work perfectly to add the 100 amp 12v alternator.
I would have used that one if i didn't already have the short one to work with.
would be easy enough to mount and motorized winch for lifting. just have to add a little reinforcement under the bed and bolt it on.
forgot to mention hat some of the mountain bike shocks ARE air spring shocks.

3" angle iron 12" long
two pieces of that overlapped and welded. the pipe is bolted to one of them using 4" long 1/2" bolts
there is one 1/2" bolt holding the top of the angle iron to the side of the bed, and two 1/2" bolts through the bottom angle iron as close to the edge as possible so that...
