Tensoiner from 5ton way to large for 2.5ton. Check out warn industrial .They have a very simple level winder for low boy drags that could be adapted very easy.
The only thing I would do different would be to guesset the lower shock mounts. The ubolts will be fine in this direction. All ubolts need to be retorqued after a few hundred miles of use. Just my 2cents !!!:driver:
I don,t understand why an LDT OR LDS can,t be built bullet proof . I have had a lot of time operating and maintaing a large White deisel converted to Natural Gas (1750 HP) . Worked the engine on the redline for years no problems. Exploded the turbo and broke waterpump shaft other than that...
An internal - combustion engine is nothing more that a large air pump (compressor) to move more air you must increase intake air by turbo / blower or cam timing . Could the cam timing gears be diferent from one to another. The LDS could have advanced cam timing over the LDT.

The best replacement for the bushings is to replace with Delrin. They need to be made on lathe but much better than bronze . Lifetime material needs no lube also !!! :grd:
Flame heater leaks can be stopped y replacing the nozzle with a new one for Memphis Equipment Company . The new one is a different design no orings to leak . Money will spent to replace it will have no leaks and be safe and sound !!!
Destroyed one in the tail gate of a dump truck !!!! After a while it will be nothing more than a learning experience !!! (9 stiches , thin as a sheet of paper !!) aua
That hose is a double PITA to replace mine was leaking also !!! I was able to work with stubby wrenches to ease the pain a small amount. I guess you know by now do not tighten the first connected end until you get the second one started.
