Can someone point me in the direction of how to find this information in the Tm's?
I see many TM's for the M939 on several threads how do you know which ones have the drivetrain information?
Thank you in advance.
Wow, glad you are ok and it didn't cause you to lose control or crash.
I have been thinking about doing this myself but now I'm wondering about the Hemtt transfer case and its oiling system.
Is anyone aware of a link to a write up or video of installing Detroit lockers into a M939 series 5ton?
I'm planning on doing this myself and wanted to study up on what is involved first.
Thanks..
Maybe this was covered but anytime you pull voltage off a single battery in a bank of batteries it causes an imbalance in the batteries. The imbalance causes some to be overcharged and some to be undercharged which is what kills the batteries. This is also why you should use exact same style...
That looks really nice, great attention to detail. Can you explain about the radios, what is their purpose, range, who can you talk to or listen to with them?
Lots of good information 👍.
I didn't realize the duty cycle was so low on the 18k electric winches. They are probably underated for warranty purposes too??
Are there any videos online showing the use or testing of the 18k electric winches, I searched and didn't come up with anything?
We be...
The reason I would want a high amp alternator is I'm considering doing a rear mount 18,000lb electric winch which draws 278 amps at full load and 169 amps at half load. Plus if your running a bunch of lights or heater on top of that load your batteries will get sucked down fast.
Just curious why switch to the civilian style alternator?
What amp output are the civilian models?
Is the "Those Military Guys" 160amp conversion/upgrade a good kit?
I just want a t-case that doesn't split in half if you get on it hard in low range reverse. I know the stock case is pretty tough in high range, it seems low range reverse is what kills it.
