Gauges, warning lights, glass, shift indicator, turn signal sight glass, lockup indicator, etc are all taped off then everything inside got sprayed. It was bad bad, this thing sat for atleast 5 plus years with no top after being rebuilt in 08 at Albany

No, you’re not limited by power, but gearing. The max safe RPM for a caterpillar C12 is 2100 rpm at 65mph anything higher and you will sling a rod among other things. These trucks are RPM governed and will automatically defuel at 2100

The hills there really whooped on my MTVR, hammer down I couldn’t hold more than 40mph with the cooling fan locked in, then gain up to 45 and it would kick in again!

At current point, I’ve logged 7000+ miles on 15w40 driving cross-country CA-GA, lots of trips offroad, city driving, some of which turned up with a custom 525hp 1600 torque tune, all with no issues to report as of yet (knock on wood)
