See, if you had followed our lead and got a few platforms, the lifted thing wouldn't have mattered.

    Outfitting M1031 SECM

Somewhere I have photochopped pics of a bobbed deuce with an SECM body on it. Gimp, if you get serious, I know where there is a body in west Dayton.

    Outfitting M1031 SECM

I will get pics of mine at first light. It's in it's infancy but coming along slowly. I refer to it as my "torch cart".

NP208 to NP241 Swap with Pictures

Good stuff. I have a 241C in the shed waiting on it's owner to get one of hisnmany 700R4 trans rebuilt. One day. I can take some pics of the tall 6 bolt adapter as well.

    6.2 to 6.5 Engine swap?

VRV is the vacuum regulator on the injection pump. It controls the shift points of the trans. Physically, the GEP blocks are the same as the 6.2 blocks (outer dimensions). As far as electronic injection, 1994 was the first year for the DS4 pump.

    6.2 to 6.5 Engine swap?

http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?66745-Dually-M1028A2-South-Florida-Rebuild&highlight= That is correct. Stonepicker1 installed a GEP in the truck above and a new Optimiser in the CUCV II. Should bolt right in.

    6.2 to 6.5 Engine swap?

Bellhousing and engine mount bosses are the same.

    6.2 to 6.5 Engine swap?

Beware of center mount turbo engines. These require extensive firewall mods including moving the factory heater assy. Regular side mount turbo will work and N/A is easy. Do a little searching around, bunch of threads dealing with turbos and such.

should i put a Detroit locker in the front end?

According to the mfr, I'm 100% correct. That's why I referred to it as an unlocker. It's locked all the time unless you turn, hence it unlocks....unless, it's under power! If under power it will stay locked. Please explain to me what is incorrect in what I posted? Don't just say I'm...

should i put a Detroit locker in the front end?

The Detroit Locker (or NoSpin) really is named wrong. It's really a Detroit Unlocker. As long as it's not under power, the unit will let the axles differentiate. They really are virtually invisible in a front axle that is not under power. Lock in all wheel drive and the game is on. Lock out...

Greetings folks. I'm starting this in hopes of sharing ideas and pics of how you outfit your SECM. I will post some pics of mine the next time I go home. I'm sure many of you set these trucks up for specific duty and it would be cool to share the info.

    Brake conundrum

There is likely still air in the fronts. If that doesn't work I would start looking at hoses. The more hose you have, the spongier the brakes feel and subsequenty the more areas of failure you have. Weak hoses can cause the symptoms but I highly suspect it's trapped air.
