    Gap at door

When I replaced my door seals, it took a week or so for everything to get happy. Don't ask me how or why? I was really disappointed at first, then everything sealed up.

    SRW Question

I purchased a complete winch setup for my 1079, it was a huge amount of work to install. These trucks are built from the inside out, when putting it on from the outside in everything is in the way. You would not believe how many parts are different and how hard the PTO is to install. Not to...

13th Annual 2021 Pacific NorthWest Rally / FE

I will be there! Most likely I will arrive Friday. Should I bring the tank engine again? One each LMTV and possibly the trailer with the engine, it will probably just be me again. What else could I bring? Mike

Replacement oil pressure switch for A0

No, pressure sending unit just operates the gauge. The pressure switch, turns on the low oil pressure light. Opens who knows which relays, disables the starter, turns on the alternator. Neither has a direct effect on the other. They are both screwed into the same tee.

Replacement oil pressure switch for A0

No. I didn't look. I tend to do my own thing. Switch is installed, same 15 lb normally closed switch. The alternator did not notice that it was no longer leaking oil.

A0 oil pressure sending unit part number

The oil pressure gauge works now. I was not aware the oil pressure gauge had any influence on the alternator? I thought that was related to the oil pressure switch?

Replacement oil pressure switch for A0

Napa part number. 35$ Cut the wire/plug, crimp on terminals. Put some medium loctite on the screws. A pain in the butt to get to. Don't forget to disconnect the batteries!

    LMTV/FMTV winch hydraulic schematic/drawing

Mauinate Maybe pictures of the hydraulic hose routing? From pump to hydraulic valve, return to hydraulic tank. It appears the the pressure hose from the pump goes to a tee mounted to the frame and two lines go to the control valve. So, my pressure hose is far too long, return hose far too short...

    LMTV/FMTV winch hydraulic schematic/drawing

I cant find them in the TM"s. The is a hydraulic group, Nothing about the winch. Its all cab and suspension stuff. I looked in the winch parts just the winch itself. I still hate Army manuals. I guess it could be worse, I got motion sickness looking at microfiche!

    MEP806A Double Delta Single Phase

No, surplus ever. When I was doing them they were installing new Katolight units. Katolight was bought out by MTU years ago. They did have Kohler, Onan and Generac. The Generac's were on older sites. Whenever I had to work on a surplus military unit they were a mess. The control and safety...

Who did this to my LMTV MPU!

Yes, I think it was about a dozen pages, very cryptic without an electrical schematic. If there is a schematic in the TM's, I never found it. I got lucky and checked the MPU first. I always hated military technical manuals, they have not improved in the 43 years since I got out.
