Welcome from the right coast on Cape Cod, MA. Looks like you have yourself a nice project there. Good luck. Video will be great. We like pictures:driver:
Hey Kambaku, the bowl looks like the Racor filters I deal with regularly on the boats I work on but have only seen 2 wire sensors. These are water in fuel sensors and will give a warning on the gauge panel. 3 wire may be a heater but you may be able to look at the Racor company for parts. Not...
Hey Gralmk, met you at the RI MV show last fall. How big are the shows at Foxboro? Are there a lot of MVs that show up? I really like going to shows with a good MV turnout. We usually attend the weekly car show at the Upper Cape Cod Tech HS held on Wednesdays during the summer. Maybe I'll see...
Sorry tbar, I misunderstood. Thought they were sounding anytime the pressure was above 60 even with the batteries off. You got me on this one. Good luck. But I think you are looking in the right direction with chasing the grounds.
Welcome Swen from this side of the pond on Cape Cod in Massachusetts. Have never visited your country but have in-law relatives from there. There is a lot of information on this site. Enjoy.
I agree with Spyderman about the block heater. No matter how cold it is I set my timer to have the heater come on about 2 hours before expected use and she fires up like it is 70 degrees. Even when I take it to work I set it for 5 am and when I start it at 715 she lights right off. I did not try...
Hey tbar, sorry you are having all the trouble with something that you think should be simple. Been there done that, very frustrating. Still sounds to me like you have a solenoid valve stuck open. If the valve is stuck open they will sound as soon as the circuit gets air pressure. I know you...
Went for a ride during a lull in the blizzard. She ran real well, after a couple of hours on the block heater! Came across this Toyota in a snow bank right near home. Hooked up a tow strap and pulled it out with no throttle and no damage. Those kids were very happy we came by.:driver:
Welcome to the site from Cape Cod, MA. Can't really help but think there are several fuses that may power up most of the dash. Haven't had any issues with my dash yet. As Elkhtr said it should use most of the standard M939 stuff. Good luck and post up some pics if you can. We like pictures...
Hey Aztron, welcome from Cape Cod, MA. Good luck on your truck search if this one doesn't come through. I have had my 1984 M923 for 8 months and have done a lot of work on her. She was in real good shape when I got her. Got to remember that these are 30+ year old vehicles and will need some work...
Welcome from Cape Cod, MA. Nice looking truck you have there. Use and enjoy. I have family in the Maitland and Altoona area. Wish I was there to attend the Mt. Dora show with my 5 Ton. Sound like a lot of fun. :driver:
I knew they weren't cheap. I added a set of boat air horn trumpets to the existing set and it sounds much better. There are tone adjustment screws on the back side but they like to corrode in their holes and break off when you try to adjust them. If you try use a lot of penetrating spray, PB...
My fuel tank sender float developed a crack in it, it is a brass float, not long after I got the truck running. Removed the float to drain and repair. Used a wine cork wire tied to the float arm as a temporary fix. Seem to work pretty good and I am not to worried about cork coming apart as cork...
Here is what my 5 ton looked like during the storm. Was going to take it out the next morning (Sunday) but while warming up noted a high pressure in the air system, no wipers or horn. Determined from info on this site it was the PPV valve. Must have been iced up. Thawed it out Monday and every...
