How are you wanting to use these lights? Back-up? Night utility lights? Wire them in series (Suprman's idea) or use a convertor (Tigger's idea). Either way is correct.
I've seen this whistle, no whistle go both ways. Mine starts to whistle a minute or two at idle after starting up cold. My Buddy's immediately starts whistling upon a cold start up. Both trucks run very well. Go figure.

Dirstick this is probably what contributed to Patracy's horrible noises. I would think as long as the front axle and the rears are turning at the same speed, shifting into 6x6 on the fly shouldn't be a problem. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
