How are you wanting to use these lights? Back-up? Night utility lights? Wire them in series (Suprman's idea) or use a convertor (Tigger's idea). Either way is correct.

You do know to start the engine, shut it off, wait one minute, then remove and check the dipstick level from the un-screwed position, right?

I've seen this whistle, no whistle go both ways. Mine starts to whistle a minute or two at idle after starting up cold. My Buddy's immediately starts whistling upon a cold start up. Both trucks run very well. Go figure.

I do have extra bolts...I did the spin-on filter conversion...you can have one for the ride.

Dirstick this is probably what contributed to Patracy's horrible noises. I would think as long as the front axle and the rears are turning at the same speed, shifting into 6x6 on the fly shouldn't be a problem. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Mine 003A has exactly the same symptoms. The glow plug problem looks to be the easiest item to check, then I guess injectors would be second?

Good thread! I've often wondered if you could shift into 6X on the fly. I, like the OP, don't recall reading anything in the -10 about it either.
