Thank you for the insight. Looking back at the 3 links in first post. In the spring link there is a 14" 954# spring that is used on a truck with a winch. Oddy enough there is a 13.3" 1250# listed for all other vehicles.
I was going off the difference between Midwest Military spring height and advertised stock spring height.

I added high back seats from Midwest military. They do not fold. They mount to seat base and do not use the back plate. When I use the bed I remove the seats and put in the plates. Best of both worlds.
I just went thru same problem. Regulator fixed it. Seems like I paid 145.00 delivered. Like mentioned above 6 screws 3 wires to plug up. Hardest part was removing alternator.
Get what you can afford that has good bones. The truck costs mentioned are accurate. I have had hmmwv about 1 year. I truly believe so far I have spent more time working on it than have driven it. It is getting into the nice category and I'm in the same ballpark with money spent.
