That's the one "good" thing about fire season here in CA. I live 10 minutes from one of the main firefighting air bases for Socal(Gen. William J. Fox Airfield in Lancaster). I can sit in the restaurant at the airport and watch the planes come and go refilling their tanks for a long time. It...
Scrap must be higher in AZ than CA. Last load I took in was 75/ton. The port strike seemed to really mess them up since it got too backed up for anything to get trucked down. The yard I go to still had the shelter I scrapped 7 months ago laying on top of the heap two weeks ago.
Those are massive 6" stencils. I think the markings on the trucks are 2 inch? Here's some two inch ones http://www.gemplers.com/product/45MSK/45-piece-2-Brass-Stencil-Kit . $44, which isn't a bad price if you use them a lot.
I guess switch boxes or maybe cover storage would make sense. It already has a toolbox bolted on the front but does not have any jerry can holders. Anyone have any straps that would bolt on like these? Extra parts are always good.
Meeting tomorrow morning! I will be there with ammo cans, trailer parts, troop seat parts, knives, and field gear. And a buddy looking for reproduction rear cushions for his MB.
I stripped my M116A2/ MEP for paint and can't figure out what these straps would have been for. I can't find any like them on the internet so I don't know if it's worth trying to find replacements. Does anyone know what these would have been for or where I could buy less brittle replacements?
Any good winch cables in the piles, or at least the chain and hook for the end of the cable? I have a winch already but it came without a cable. I probably will hardly, if ever, use it but I'd sure like to have a complete truck.
Thanks mkcoen! If we scored this as MV Golf I'd be in a tie for 1st. I know I don't have snowball's chance in a microwave of winning but a vote (maybe even my own) would be good.:)
Could be one. I'll have to find the pictures I have of my uncle's house in Minnesota. Their house burned down when he was a kid so his father went and made a deal to buy half of a WWII barrack. It's still out on the farm now and is in pretty good shape since it was being lived in until a couple...
My top has gaps between the window frames and top too. Not really any solution to it I don't think, that's just how they are. I think it's more the windows being loose than it is the top. If you really wanted you could probably get some door seal material from somewhere like McMaster Carr and...
