There used to be an old CJ in town here with a plywood & plexiglass "cab".
I bought a '70 CJ with the aftermarket hardtop & couldn't wait to tear it all off once I got it home.
My favorite! I was disappointed when I went to basic at Lackland & our squadron display plane was not the F-4:???: That was a couple buildings down.
There is one on display about 20 miles west of me at a golf course. I think a local guy had piloted that same aircraft. It doen't photograph well...
I have a pair of Selectros on backorder, should be here in a couple weeks hopefully. Everyone who keeps them in stock is $100-$200 higher than the rest.
I'm not too worried about milage, but would like to cut down on tire wear, & there's no need to have all that stuff turning up front when I...
I ordered one of these from Clark, received 2 days later. Dated 1990, complete & original packaging. Looks like I would expect from sitting around all those years, some dirt and slight indication of moisture in the package at some time. all parts look usable, O-rings look good. Considering most...
I chock everywhere I park. My parking brake works pefectly, but I always hate that 4 seconds between when I jump out to when I get the chock in on my inclined driveway. I just know that's when my brake cable will snap someday.
I torque everything. Unfortunately, the large truck thinking is probably where his shop failed. Most truck/ tire shops I've been in routinely stall out their 1" impact when installing big truck wheels & then they're done. Usually way too tight and not uniform.
I just finished brakes & bearings...
Deere #AN102562, good stuff. Deere corn head gearcases have 11 gears, 8 bearings & 6 plain bushings in them & the grease never fails them unless someone fails to grease them.
Wont need to bother with my tarp pictured in my previous post this winter. Just added a 13X27' onto my existing shed, 13 wide gives just enough room to get the duals off both sides. Just need to put up the 12'wide x10' tall door & cut an opening through between the buildings now. Put down a 5...
Wow, what a great show!
I saw that at John Deere Expo a few years back. It's a reproduction of a prototype armored John Deere, one of two types submitted during WW2. Both were total failures in testing & not accepted. It was definately cool to see them both putting around the show grounds.
Saw this '53 Gasser W/W at Heidrick Ag museum in Woodland, CA Saturday, along with several other nice MV's. & lots of Ag tractors. Great museum to check out if you're ever in the area.
Now I need to get a searchlight for my Deuce too ;)
And a WW1 Holt armored tractor
