    Hydro Steering

I'd definitely go that route first and it'd probably be easier to install. I left my last statement a little open though. I wouldn't run full hydro on something I drove all the time and on top of that, I'll probably never own anything that would NEED full hydro steering anyway.

    Hydro Steering

There was a big discussion on "is it legal or not" on an offroad site I go to. No one could actually produce a law that said a full hydro system was illegal. I don't run one, but I would until someone can actually prove to me, in writing, that it's illegal.

    Grade 8 Bolts

When I lived in Missouri, I'd go to the local store. They're kind of like a Tractor Supply, but locally owned. They sell all bolts by the pound instead of by the bolt. I use that hardware for anything except very important parts; suspension and etc. For the important hardware, I go to...

    Bobbed Deuce Insurance

Did you have to do anything special for Historic tags and what are the limits on those in KY?

    Anyone in SE Missouri?

I drive through Sesser probably every 3 months on my way to Missouri. We should get together one of these times. I'd like to see your trucks. I'll definitely let you know if I roll the Deuce that way.

    Pulling the transmission!!!

I just picked up some bolts to put to get it roughly aligned. They're 3.5" and wouldn't want to drawn in the trans with bolts. Heard horror stories about that. I probably won't be able to get back on it until this weekend.

    Pulling the transmission!!!

What was everyone's trick to getting the transmission back in. I'm fighting with trying to get the trans to line up with the pilot bearing/splines. I'm using a flashlight and extend-able mirror to make sure the splines are lined up. I can get them in line, but I can't get the trans centered...

News: USAA will start insuring deuces and other MVs in the fall

This is good to know since I have my truck insured through USAA. I was very clear about the weight and type of truck it is. I covered each part at least 3 times and was put on hold a few times during the process so she could check with her boss. I'm thinking now that maybe the supervisor just...

    Pulling the transmission!!!

I'm in the process of getting mine back together. I used an engine hoist extended all the way out, so I think a 4x4 would be plenty fine. I didn't have anything to use as a disk alignment tool, so I just made one. A deep well 1/2" (3/8" drive) socket fit into the pilot breaing almost...

    Anyone in SE Missouri?

Hey, I'm originally from Perryville, about 25 miles North of you. I go back home every two or three months and have had my Deuce out there a couple times. Anyway, I put up information here for a Deuce in Bonne Terre up closer to St Louis. It'd be a couple hour drive or so, but I'd consider...

    Double Deuce crew cab

Put some kind of heat retardant down and then cover it with aluminum diamond plate!

    2.5/ 5 ton wheel question

Either way doesn't seem too bad. Lug nut access seems a little limited though. An easy way to fix that would be to trim the 5-ton side by "connecting the dots" with a OA torch or plasma cutter. It seems like that method makes the wheels stick out a few more inches than custom wheels.

Roof mounted A/c on a hard top?

That's a great idea and isn't TOO unsightly.

What i plan on doing to a deuce

[/LIST] That's a great list and I'll give my thoughts on each... 1) A nice option, but I wouldn't have it at the top of the list. 2) That would really simplify things if you're making it a daily driver. 3) Agreed, but with the multi it'll take some engineering. 4) This makes #1, #2, #3...

    10 bolt hubs for Deuce

Center plates would be awesome. I can cut the wheels at work, but I don't have a way to make plates. We also have a nice welder (that I know how to use well) that I can use too.

Deuce for sale - Bonne Terre, MO

I was in Missouri on a camping trip last weekend. On our way to the float trip, I seen a Deuce in a CarQuest parking lot. I didn't have time to stop in, but I did call and talk to the guy. There was a cargo truck, 109 truck and some 105 trailers sitting there. The 109 IS NOT available, it's...

    Double Deuce crew cab

What'd you use? It looks like 2x 45 degree elbows (4" in/out) and a piece of straight pipe (4" in/out).

I like the snorkel, I had that same design in my head. Just haven't gotten around to doing it.

    Deuce flasher box troubles.

I need to go through all my grounds. I suspect that's why mine aren't working. I have some relays that I'm going to use to put in protect the unit.
