The quality of the ORD suspension components is excellent. This is my 3rd ORD Suspension install on Square bodies. Two of those have been on CUCVs. I suggest getting the Bilstein shocks and steering stabilizer. Far superior. Plus ORD have them valved for our application.
Please post pics...
The interior is pretty much all wrapped up. Like one of the stories from the American writer Horatio Alger. Rags to Riches. What a difference a little hard work can make. The dash came out excellent.
You could Dynamat 25% of the outer door skin and get about the same reduction in vibration/noise etc. I would also Dynamat the out skin like I did. I covered up all the holes so you don't get the Drum or guitar effect. The noise reduction was greatly reduced.
Yesterday I finished installing the new door locks, interior door handles, lubing up the window tracks, new window rubbers and felts, dynamatted (sound deadener) the doors and installing the new door panels and hardware. Both doors came out great. With the new door window seals the widows are...
I finished the Lift and then started on the interior. Had some issues with LMC and some of there products. LMC customer service is the worst. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM LMC AGAIN. EVER. Buyer beware. Moving on. My wife helped me out on the interior removal. So far I have lined the...

Its been awhile since I last posted about my M1010. I retired from work on Sept 28th 2018. After moving into our new home (HUGE shop to boot!) I have started on the M1010 again. I never really stopped. It was worked on every time I came home. That was months apart and I was usually only...
Sorry I have been gone for so long. My work has kept me out in the field way to much. The Campulance is just about done. The drive train is pretty much done. I installed Toyo Mts 255/85R16 tires. The Toyos are the nicest tires I have ever put on an off road vehicle. They totally change the...
The modern russian military isnt very "modern" compared to the usa or most of her allies. Despte obamas best efforts we are still top tier. Thanks to trump we will be way beyond that.
One of the transmission mounts had been scavenged by the CUCV mechanics. They also took the other half mounting bolt. 1984 and older vehicles have the 2 piece Transmission mounts. I picked up a set from NAPA and sourced some new 1/2"x 3-1/2" Grade 8 bolts. I also picked up some grade 8...
Once she is registered I will focus on the interior. That will include to start, just a new dash. Everything else is in really good shape. Eventually I will go all black in the cab. After that a Lift from Off Road Designs. I may go with a 4" lift and some 255/85R16 BFG Mts. I plan on going...
Went to the junk yard and found a new NP208 in cab selector cover, shifter and a boot. Found a NP208 knob on eBay pretty cheap. I also ordered 2 spray cans of CARC 383 to clean up the wiper cowl. I am going to pull the front hub assemblies off and clean/repack all the bearings. I don't want...
