I finally got my pyrometer, boost gauge and water injection installed today. I turned up the fuel and Wow, what a difference in power. There is a long hill near me that I used to have to get down in forth gear on and barely make it with the peddle to the metal, now I pulled that same hill in 5th...
The biger tires that i run on my truck give me about 14% more speed in 5th gear than a stock size tire, so if your running a stock size tire at 48mph thats equivelent to 54mph at the same RPM on my truck..sounds about right.
I took my bobbed duce on a 2,000 mile road trip last september, had no trouble at all, but i did keep the RPMs down around 2200-2400. I do have the micheline XML 395/85/R20s on it, so my speed was about 55-57mph. Gonna do the trip again this fall.
Does anybody know what that protective stuff is that Uncle Sam uses on the winch cable, it works most excellent and I would like to get some to put on my winch cable.
I would like to come if it were closer, its a 650 mile trip each way for me. i already have a 2,000 mile MV road trip planed for the first week in september.
I had the same problem, mine was running great, i changed my fuel filters to Jatonka spin-on filters and lost probably 20% of my power. i drive the same road everyday day and on one hill it would cruse up it at 50mph with power to spare, now it slows down to 40mph. what i did notice was that my...
okay, i removed the tin cover and the leak was coming frome the plunger bore screw. i removed it, cleaned the HH head and screw, reinstalled and set the torque to 55lbs..problem solved. I would like to thank everybody for there help [thumbzup]
I will say this, MAN was my but sore when i got to NY..my best friend has a shop there and we installed a bunch of sound deading material in the cab and also instaled a nice pluch bucket seat..i must say, the 900 mile trip back home was awesom, i didnt have to wear ear plugs and i never got sore...
The oring at the base is not leaking, and i dont belive the plunger bore screw is leaking, i think the HH has a crack in it. I will pull of the tin cover tomorrow and find where the fuel is coming from.
Thats kinda what i was thinking James, i did notice that one of the injectors felt kinda weird when i tightend it..kinda got an extray amount of turn on it when it bottomed out, i also noticed some rust in the same injector hole. i will cut the cover off n take a better look at it. if the HH is...
I finally got a chance to work on my truck yesterday looking for the source of my fuel leak. I thought it was coming from the shutoff cover, so I removed the cover and there was no fuel in there, just motor oil. I put the cover back on and cleaned the hydraulic head off, I found that fuel was...
