Sounds good to check. When I put the nut on it wasn't a locking nut. I glance it every now and again to make sure it isn''t coming all the way off.
I could never find a good way to clamp the pulley to torque the nut down.
Does the vehicle move in high? If not then a half shaft CV joint could have blown.
Happens more than you think and it's not entirely noticable besides no vehicle movement in high.
Personally I really don't see the point of putting a large displacement gasoline engine in a humvee, but I would like to know the reasons people do this conversion?
I use my humvee mainly for off roading and gasoline engines in that setup just seems like you would be crippling the vehicle...
