    I would think the only down fall would be: 1.) Rear seal starts leaking, fills up bellhousing/clutch w/motor oil. 2.) Trans input seal starts leaking, fills up bellhousing/clutch w/gear oil. 3.) Freeze plug goes, fills up bellhousing/clutch w/ anti-freeze. You would not know if any were leaking...
