    Question for thining rapco paints

Different environments require different thinners. I was instructed to use mineral spirits here in FL where the heat and humidity is high. The spirits keeps the wet edge wet a little longer to get that next pass on. I've done 3 trucks using the Gillespie and spirits with nice results.

Official 2014 SS Georgia Rally Info SSGR14 thread

Lots of work Robo but glad you are making the effort. I think the GA contingent should be most elated with your arrival considering your efforts on the registration campaign. Everyone else, get your trucks ready. If they break, go home and get a car. Bring enough to survive. Your MKT Staff...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

http://apps.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=46.37.200 Very little regulation on brake lights in the WA code. As far as height, most commercial wreckers (not so much rollbacks) have brake lights mounted high or built into the light bar. I see no regulation on the amber lights except their...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

What do the statutes say about brake light height? Each state has their own laws and some are quite stupid. Were you there? Kind of hard to articulate that from GA. For what's its worth, I've been driving old military trucks for 20 years. Each time I was stopped (all 3 of them) was for...

Had the Pinzgauer and newly painted M101A2 trailer out today

Very nice. One of our other members drove his 710 towing an M101A2 from central FL to the GA Rally back in 07 when we held it at Unicoi State Park. Cool stuff.

Medium Tow bar attachment questions ??

I'm not trying to be contrary but if you put once clamp on the inside and one on the outside, you have effectively moved the towbar 8" off center. I'm not saying it won't work but even Ray Charles would notice that in the mirror.

Is there a difference in the cucv?

Wiper cowl on my 86 has the cowl based washer nozzles vs the wiper are ones. There wera few 87 CUCVs that had 87 stuff. Not seen any differences between my 84 and 86.

Medium Tow bar attachment questions ??

Greetings Chris. I think there is some area of flexibility here. I have always installed mine with the nut pointing up and the chain wrapped under. I don't think it will make too much difference functionally. If it were my truck, I would remove both tie downs so that the clamps would be in the...

Is there a difference in the cucv?

With but a couple of exceptions, all the CUCVs are based off the 84 model year.

Taking Deuce on 1,500 mile ride. Help, thoughts, recommendations.

One thing I always took on my deuce outings was my home bred power bleeder. Never went out of town without it. Funny thing about Jeepsinker bringing all those spare parts, I once took a trip from West Palm to Cincy OH amd back. I took a spare everything, literally. Was driving an M275A2 with an...
