2014 MVPA National Convention- Louisville, KY

Wow, looks super nice. We filled 5 halls there with show cars in the 80s. If I could attend any MVPA event anywhere, it would be this one. I know that facility is first class.

M1009 shifting rough, high RPM, doesn't want to go Into 3rd.

Start checking for vacuum leaks. From there need to check vacuum source. If you are sure how to do these' the tests are well explained in the TM.

    Another no start thread.......

The pedal and starter for most intents and purposes are unrelated. Have you done the starter relay update (doghead mod) yet? If not then do this first. Once this is done it will make initial testing easier to do. When you say batts are full, what do you mean? They need to be load tested not...

In a bind, dash turn indicators not working, left rear indicator dim.

Worse comes to worse you can always use hand signals or do like 60% of the drivers do, use nothing.

    Master cylinder upgrade..

The aluminum ones normally are quick take up masters, not sure how compatible they are with drums. It would be an upgrade in the fuel savings dept, less weight.

    M1031 question

The fuses may not be able to handle the current rush quite like the fusible links. I looked into using fuses or breakers in place of the links and everywhere I turned I was warned away from it. I should have gotten the part number for that link wire at NAPA.

    How to repair canvas tear?

I still have a few cans of tent adhesive. It's some pretty potent black stuff and works darned well. When it's gone I'm going to weldwood. Everyone with a deuce or a tent needs a speedy stitcher.

    Military AM/FM radio

Rick, along those lines, if I ever put sounds in one of my CUCVs, it will be just an amp and speakers fed by line jack. I can pipe FM and my tune stash from an ipod. I will miss AM talk.

2014 MVPA National Convention- Louisville, KY

Well, if that's the case then I'll just come to the midwest. I never felt welcome at the FFC and let my membership expire after just one year.

2014 MVPA National Convention- Louisville, KY

As I look out to the east of my current location I see the Broward County Convention Center. It's a super nice facility and security is paramount. It's probably big enough I wager that you could fit 50 of them indoors at KEC. I don't recall the exposition center being that noisy from the UPS...

2014 MVPA National Convention- Louisville, KY

It won't be long now. About 2 more years and maybe I can attend one of these. Maybe sooner if they hold in in West Palm Beach. FWIW if it's ever held in WPB, needs to be in Jan or Feb to be tolerable!
