Tranny about fell out of my Deuce

Back when I was deatched to the motor pool for a while, I seen some of these "modifications" done. Purposeful tricks done to trucks to either get rid of them or get them replaced. At the time, it seemed like a good idea because we'd either be rid of a problem child or get a better truck in...

Milford, IL to Louisville, KY... Chrysler 225 Slant 6

Someone offered me a motor for free as long as it's picked up from his shop. I could use it to put into my 73 Plymouth to get it back on the road. If someone is going to be around this way, I can throw you some gas money for the trouble. I just need a few days to coordinate with him, Saturday...

First thing I said too! Looks nice though! I'd like to see some more pics of the truck in the OP. Just curious how the bob-job looks.

    M342A2 on GL

This is what I thought too until people started ranting about how there's a 342 on GL now. I thought he was just asking if they ever showed up. IMO, the OP didn't reveal the auction, but the people bitching about it revealed it...

    Bobbed Deuce sighting?

A guy I work with knows that I have a Deuce. He told me today that he seen a truck that looked like mine, only it had one axle in the rear and dual exhaust stacks. He said it was a tan looking color as well. I don't know how accurate his description is; if it's a Deuce, 5T or etc; or if it's...

    Two airhorns....

I didn't know that, I bet mine just needs to be adjusted. It's so high pitched it almost sounds like it's "squealing".

    Two airhorns....

Could that be wired through a switch in the cab? At the flick of the switch, you could pick either one!

What can/do you do with a M109 Shop Van

    Forgot about the mattress

    Two airhorns....

On the bright side, I'm not scrapping or cutting up the truck :o The Deuce air horn could always be swapped back in.

    Two airhorns....

I'm wanting to mount semi-truck horns in mine. I think the Deuce horn is way too high pitched. It's the air horn equivalent of an 87 Toyota Camry, lol.

What can/do you do with a M109 Shop Van

If you're not claustrifobic (sp?), then 1.5' would be enough to make a small sleeping space. I'm a minimalist, so that'd be perfect use of space.

Picking up an m108 wrecker this week

RE: Re: RE: got it home Any truck that you can drive home (safely) is a good truck indeed! Looks great, I'd like to have a 108 in my stable down the road.

    Fuel Economy of Alternative fuels

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: Fuel Economy of Alternative How would the E85 react in our engines? Is there anything in the system that it can deteriorate?

    Fuel Economy of Alternative fuels

Re: RE: Re: Fuel Economy of Alternative fuels I haven't taken a long trip on straight diesel to compare my mileage, I just know what I get on 50/50 WMO (that's all I run).

    Fuel Economy of Alternative fuels

RE: Re: Fuel Economy of Alternative fuels I ran a 50/50 mix of diesel and WMO on the interstate at 50mph and averaged about 8.5 mpg.
