Doesn’t appear to be from what I’m reading in these posts.
Good tool to use for reactivity/resistance:

Well Nuts, pickled in low-sulfur diesel fuel with a bit of Optilube XPD added...
Well, bummer.
I bought two of those from GMG in Oct ‘16 and just checked the numbers on them. #47 and 79.
Packing slip reads “A3816”.
What the heck did I buy? And if those guys are just buying up local stock from ACE or Tractor Supply or somewhere and selling them at an obscene profit and...
Yep. That’s what it says, and what’s needed to get the air out. Sometimes twice.
Or more.
Turning the wheel full lock isn’t so bad once they’re off the ground, really.
HOLY ZOMBIE POST RESURRECTION BATMAN!
Found a place overseas (France) that has 'em.
Two pair 20x20CM (7.85"), shipped, about $50 after Euro exchange.
Ordered a couple pairs.
I'll post elsewhere when they arrive.

Arrived today. very well...
3/8-16 x 1-1/2" aren't they? Try Tractorsupply or a good ACE hardware store for yellow zinc (chromate) bolts. Can also get them through Amazon.com in bulk. Fastenal, fasteners.com, other suppliers...
Pull the inspection plugs (racetrack-shaped plastic pieces at top of windshield frame inside) and see if you can move the actuator rods. The plastic inserts are cheap and easy to replace (easy to break too if you put too much effort into it - order a spare) and should stop that, otherwise it's...
I went with this style of horn: https://www.ebay.com/itm/UNIVERSAL-CAR-PICKUP-BOAT-TRUCK-Compressor-Twin-Tone-Air-Horn-Horns-24V-24-volt/282596194654?hash=item41cc0bb95e:g:yc0AAOSwxYxUyhNg&vxp=mtr
Different brand (Stebel nautilus), mounted it and the relay on the outside of the splash guard...
I'll take "Brake Bleeding Basics" for $500, Alex.
DING-DING-DING!
DOUBLE Jeopardy!
Air bubbles?
Look up bleeding brakes [D'OH! Power steering. -edit] in this forum. Cheaper and easier to do than replacing a pump.
FWIW.
NB
I lurked around here for about a year before I decided on taking the plunge.
Owning a military vehicle will teach you a lot of things. Patience. Tolerance. Skills you never knew you had or cursing you never imagined you could produce (if you’re a cursing man). You’ll relearn basic wound...
THAT... is, awesome.
Had to look at the picture several times until I actually saw where the license plate would go.
In the words of my carpenter friend from Perth, “Too right, mate.”

If I had it to do all over again, I’d buy another aluminum license plate frame:

Add a little light to it:

I lurked for about a year off and on before joining ("I would never join a club who'd have me for a member" - Groucho Marx), it's been a treasure trove of shared knowledge/experience, sharing, met some really great people FTF along the way as well.
Welcome to the madness.
Norm
Thanks for that. I laughed out loud.
Took a moment to look up glass sealing tape on amazon and the evil auction site (50% price difference one to the other), only question is, which thickness would one need for a HMMWV? 1/32, 1/16, 3/32?
Unless you're doing this for a living, I can't see...
92? bad sender’s my guess. You can pull the connections at the gauge and measure the full, 3/4 and lower readings with an ohmmeter - somewhere online is a list showing the range of resistance you should get from a good sender.
