View from the bed. Gonna make a hinged door reusing the piece of the bed we cut out. That way we can keep an eye on the cable, hit the fill plugs since my "rebuild" leaks oil faster than you can put it in there on the lever side. I hear alot of people talking about corn header grease. Think that...
I blew a stock radiator. Ordered a new one aluminum with plastic tanks. New thermostat and cap. Drove it for a week same coolant leak. Pressurized it and it was really intermitent. Some it would go a week and then blow coolant everywhere. So I thought the worst, head gasket building pressure on...
Thanks Jim! That last bend in the shaft where it meets the winch was some what of an extreme angle but that's about the only way we could pull it off with the stock exhaust and without re-routing brake lines. Its not like its gonna be running all the time so I think that last couple u...

Thanks Getting video's of it working loaded up now. The crate it came in said it was over 200 lbs. But I think it was lighter than that. Without the cable I could lift it by myself and put it in the truck bed. The fab work was done by me and my buddy in a weekend. One of those deals where you...
I know that pics are 99% of a post but so far nothing really to take a picture of to post. You can look in the want ads and see the picture of the winch. Which anybody on this site that lurks around a little will catch a glimpse of and front deuce winch. April 19th we will start the building and...
I'd tell them its just a K30 with a utility bed. As far as I know Chevy didn't offer an option with a service bed, so there would be no comparison there. But I'm no expert don't quote me on that. I'm sure someone with a little more knowledge of that era Chev well chime in.
I've picked up the winch and later this month the fabbing and install is gonna happen. I have a few questions for some of you M1031 owners. I'm not running the pto throttle governor circut. It will just be my foot controlling the speed of the PTO. I'm in the process of buying all the shafts and...
Nice! Its built for stout and he left ya plenty of room to get to the winch. Yours has the only thing I didnt do with mine that I wish I did and thats mount some internal lights.
I'm not sure if this is the right forum or not but I do have a question regarding a deuce Garwood 10k winch. Is there anyway someone could get me some dimensions on one? I'm trying to get this all laid out in my mind and if I had the length/width/etc I could mock up a cardboard model to see...
I run the Derale extra deep pan with cooling tubes and a Haynes external cooler bypassing the factory one. I tow 8 to 10k loads and on a 100 degree day the highest I got was 195. The big helper was the external cooler. I ran the gauge before it and even with the slightest slip it would bring up...
