I over tighted it, broke the nut off the bottom, and used a smaller bolt with a hammer. Tapping and lifting the door back and forth. Got it out quickly.

I used a 3/8 non rachet breaker bar and used a pair of channel locks.

Sounds like water in the tank got you. I had an old 7.3 kept diesel in the front tank and biodiesel in the rear.

Alternator is a common issue for coming loose. Luckily I caught mine in time. You probally have a spring vent clogged so when the axle gear oil heats up its blowing past the seals. Good job on your field repairs

Old thread but I have same issue. Accelerator spring came off and when I tried to reuse it broke in half. Looking for a replacement thinking stainless steel. Anyone find an alternate decides oem? Going to try mcmaster in the morning.
