So its possible that pics will be added? I am new to this, trying to get my first CUCV.
The shelter makes seance, I figured their would be a reasonable explanation like that. I looked around the forum to see if their was some board or something where asking for help like this would be more...
Ok, I am sitting here hunting for a CUCV in the western half of the country. This M1028 pops up, with a very very scarce (sp?) description. No pics, all I know is that is missing a tail gate. I dont mind not having a tail gate, I will just put a net across the back.
My concern is WHY would...
There are some fantastic ideas in this thread, but I love the adjustable cutouts. Its a Y with a flange on the end, with three wing nuts. You get block off plates, though I would order two or three. I would have one covered, then poke holes of different sizes in the other two. See what you...
Personally, I think a M1008 is a bad idea for a trail rig, compared to a M1009. This is only based on my experience in Wa though, so your trials may be more full size ready.
If I was doing it, I would prolly do a shackle flip in the rear, and a AAL or new leaf pack up front, netting you a...
You know, this makes me even more willing to just wait till the next caly lot pops up, that is a fantastic offer. Just for the stress off my mind I had thought about PAYING someone to check one of them out for me before I bid.
I have changed my mind. Im going to wait another 3 weeks, and see...
That hurts my brain to hear! Gah, I wish I had known. I would have bought one :(
Maybe I am being silly, but I figured caly would be just about out of CUCVs to sell! They were selling a ton of them 6 months ago too....
Im buying from GL, and honestly looking forward to the recovery and repair of the vehicle the most!
My master plan is to have money set aside, take a week and a half off work, and grab my buddy, and set off on this cross country trip. We will take turns driving my pickup, then arrive and...
Ok, so when you say a long time, 2 weeks? A month? or do you mean a really long time, like 4-6 months?
A month I can deal with.
So is there anything that says, "truck must be retrieved within X amount of time after auction is completed"?
EDIT: just read on the site, nvm.
So I dont fill...
Ok, a year ago I wanted to deliver dominoes pizza in a CUCV, since then I defected to papa johns, have had both a gasoline 84 K5, and a gasoline 75 C20, and now I am ready to get a cucv, and there is nothing you can do to stop me! :p
I have been delivering in my 75 C20 for the last few months...
Ok, well that piece is located on the passenger side firewall, and everyone else has said drivers side....
But, I havnt found anything on the drivers side.
If i did this right, there should be three attached pics. One is of a piece that is attached to the firewall and had one vacuum line going to it, the other was attached right by the exhaust manifold and had two vacuum lines going to it.
Well, there are two lines, should both just go to manifold vacuum?
I didnt touch anything under the dash, just went to town removing vacuum and EGR stuff.
I had just been leaving it in 3rd where i didnt need lockup, but now I am selling the truck, and I have to get it ready to be sold. The...
Ok, so I hate asking questions about civy blazers here, but I know you all are VERY knowledgeable, and posting here is free.
I went to pull all the "Un-needed" vacuum lines off my 1984 K5, and I lost torque converter lockup. Oops! I know nothing about automatics and didnt know there were...
Hey ya'll, I hate posting something that doesnt quiet fit this forum, but I know very little about diesels, and you guys are the experts for the 6.2, so I came to ya'll.
Im buying a civy GMC pickup with a 6.2. He says it doesnt burn any fluids, just a small oil leak from valve covers. I...
I understand this, and driving around in the snow and ice on the road the blazer did wonderful. Once I was offroad I got both tires stuck on plates of ice and learning one limitation....
Im the first to say I have a lot to learn still, and I learned a ton that day :)
Little back story, I bought a civilian Blazer instead of a CUCV, and now I want to get the LSD front and rear 14 bolts off a M1028, in addition to the front bumper with the brush guard and the tow hooks. This thread focuses mostly on the need for some tow hooks....
Ok, just before Christmas I...
