Clare MI Show Aug. 17-19th 2007

I have been to Iola around 4 times and that is a great show. The GLMVPA Clare Show started small but I believe it is on the way to become a Iola size show. There is always some very good deals to be had and more and more vehicles arrive each year. I also think that this great site and other...

    Theft prevention?

I lock the door on the Mog and leave the window open so my doggie can look down at them while they try the handle. Her name is Nipper...for a reason! On most mv's I have, I have a disconnect on the negative battery lead. This has saved my batteries several times due to my lack of memory.

    HMMWV A2 Project

Well, in between work and travels, I am slowly digging into this beast. I discovered that I will have to review all work done on the frame due to some inconsistencies: missing exhaust doughnut after turbo, a few bolts in upside down, etc. It is amazing the differences between this A2 wanna be...

    Bed Size For S-250 Shelter

Welcome, In Arkron, Ohio, Sam Winer has a bunch of S250's advertised for at least a year or so for around $850. I looked at them last year and most were in good usable condition. I have a tray mount for the S250 that fits in my M1037 HMMWV...I do not know the dimensions currently but it is...

    Watermark - Decision

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Watermark - Decision FYI: On another site...for MB Unimogs, you need to be a member and you need to be signed in to see the pictures plus they watermark the picts too. In a way it is good for the posters/members, etc. but perhaps limiting for the newbie that wants to see...

    HMMWV A2 Project

Thanks for the input on CTIS! My only thought was for the truck to have the hubs setup for CTIS but not install it. Configured this way would make it more correct...I will take this offroad but not stump jumping and dune climbing (yes even here in MI there are large forests and sand dunes!)...

    HMMWV A2 Project

Yes A1 hubs and I have to decide if I want to change them out to A2 for CTIS...what everyone's opinion? George, I'll keep in touch. The alt pulley I have sets too far away from the alt which places it out of alignment from all the other pulleys/idlers. Shall investigate further...

    HMMWV A2 Project

superburban, All I can say is keep looking, asking around and don't give up. Also, when you are not looking, they fall into your lap, per se. Depending on how much money you want to spend, there are several good hmmwv's for sale, with titles. Start with David Uhrig's website armyjeeps.net...

    HMMWV A2 Project

Hi George, Thanks for the infor for you are one the guru's! IP is dated 10/03 and the engine was test fired around 2004. This is why I want to check it's operation prior to further build up. The engine currently has the 100 amp dual output alternator (need pulley) and I will have to check the...

    HMMWV A2 Project

Austin has received a lot of my cashola over the years...he has a great setup: go to site, click buy it now, click send money...lucky dog! Believe it or not, there is not as much missing as one might think (a lot of boxes)! Also, I may add AC since it is in the mid 90's again! This also came...

    HMMWV A2 Project

Well I did it again, I went looking for one thing and found another project...The last project was the M38 in the background and now this one is a HMMWV A2 version with 6.5 TD, 4 speed, and 242 t-case running gear. I promised my wife that this will not be a marathon assembly like the M38 but a...
