:grin:After a bunch of fixin, it was time for a shakedown trip. Pulled ok for a little motor, no mixing of fluids (WHEW!!!!). Trans seems to shift ok. I need to address more issues. The air ride is nice. I was able to get the 5th wheel height lower by trimming the rods to the leveling valves.
275.00+ so its not cheap. Its only a slow drip.
I could probably get a seal for it. Alot of times there is a bad bushing letting the rod push the seal out of round. Some things arent really meant to be rebuilt.
My M923 is dripping from the pass side P/S assist cylinder . Has anybody rebuilt one of these ? Sometimes your better off buying a new cylinder. Any thoughts ?
Honestly theres not too much difference. power wise, the 1600's make the truck a little less responsive. the 1400's ride a little better. splitting hairs
Slick truck . Your gonna like the air ride. The air ride doesnt work off road like the spring suspension,it gets stuck pretty easy. I like the s cam brakes, that wasnt visable in the auction photos. Good luck with it.
Heres some pics of 1400s..1600s and 395's. Im not crazy for the look of duals on a 932 especially the front wheels. I think the 14-16's look best. The 395's look too small but thats just my opinion and you know what they say about opinions.
m923 transfer case shifts like butter my m932 shifts a little stiffer but good my m932 w air ride is basically stuck i havent looked into it yet i would say its a lube issue
i Im glad you didnt have any problems. Boy im glad i didnt see that fella in the second picture running around the farm. i woulda been skeered fer sure.
most trucks with different ratios have a dana in the front and a corporate rear axle like a bronco had a 9" ford rear and a dana 30 or 44 in front one was 4:10 and the other a 4:11 i dont believe it had anything to do with spinning the front faster for more control its just what the axle...
my a3 was running 250-275 trans temp . so i changed to dex 3. it runs alittle cooler around town. as soon as you start working the truck harder it goes right up to 250- 275. i think part of the problem is that the trans cooler depends on the engine fan to get serious air flow. my engine...
congrats on your new truck ...sorry to hear about your trans problems. being held over a barrel by some @#$ at a distant shop is every guys nightmare. yea when i asked how fast an a3 went i got alot of wrong answers and one right . these speedos are off quite a bit. the tire shake sucks, but...
My first euc was total ****. I finally told them to keep it i was cancelling my card. Low and behold it came thru. As strict as they are my m923 title ( in NJ we get titles from GL) came thru with someone elses name on it and a letter stating that they made a mistake and NJ shouldnt be...
