    An Amusing Unimog quote...

Unimogs are real fun...special the old short 406 with the big engine. a buddy has one....i've repaired the front axle. Its a "relatively" filigree construction, just barely strong enough. Thats true for the hole vehicle. The newer Mogs are ugly as ****.... If you turn up the engine for just a...

Gas can spout - homemade... :-)

maybe ...but the US design is cooler! I like the threaded cap. If its not tight, just use more force...... Tooltime solution...more power! and it fits in the can holder:mrgreen:

Gas can spout - homemade... :-)

For the flexible tube - i've used both - solid and flexible. My personel opinion is that the solid is easier to handle, special with a full and heavy can. With the flexible you can't rest the spout on the tank to transfer the weight. My choose for a solid tube was well considered. I made the...

Gas can spout - homemade... :-)

I give up.... the problem is the thread.....it's uncommon in Germany (it seems to be a modified NPT - its cylindric and a bit smaller than it should be, the pitch is standard). The simple idea is: use a cap, drill a hole, use a hose fitting, a nut and a piece of hose...ready. But i...

Gas can spout - homemade... :-)

rofl i take this for a compliment..... but i don't see any overengineering....a turnable tube is a must have - otherwise the tubebend is in any dirction, but not the right one.....the rest ist simple machining...... overengineered is a spout with integrated fuel gauge, LED light for...

Gas can spout - homemade... :-)

thank you! Inside the threaded part is a O-ring, the tube is turnable... It's made of stainless steel, i leave it natural. It's not for sale....it's priceless :-) The spouts for the US-can are rare in Germany, they want about 45,-- for one...thats 3 times the real value... :-)

    Having a fuel tank made

Youre right, ou don't need the pump...if you runout of fuel, you'll love it.....open the valve at the first filter, let the pump run, that's it. Happen to me twice, and i'm happy to have the pump. (actually it was broken and i fixed it...everybody told me you don't need it:-) ) btt. you...

    Having a fuel tank made

in the bed will require heavy armor...unless you never transport something in the bed  my suggestion: move the bed back and mount the tank in the gap between cab and bed. go to a pro tankbuilder...he knows how to make it... you need formed ends cause they don't break easy at the welds...

    BudLight Deuce? Details anyone?

big bumpers are ok, but i don't like the "winch notch" and 2 bumpers are to much. why not making a bumper out of channel iron ?
