If you are using a relay designed for the amount of current going through the wire, you should be fine. The issue is, the relay used, is more of a HVAC relay. Its not designed for the heavy current you are sending through it in the CUCV starting system.

you have failed glow plugs.... :-) The card is shutting down early due to improper voltage on the sense wire.

How are you sure your glow plugs are good? What is the voltage going to the glow plugs (when the relay is on)

Personally, I would suggest its added to the 'Wiki' aka FAQ Section for each vehicle. This way, it can be maintained nicely by all members.

BTW.... its been answered before.. in this very forum ;-)

Ken, just go buy a good 'can' style relay like is used for the glow plugs and swap it in.
